The Voice season 26 introduced viewers to talented artists with unique voices. Throughout the NBC competition series, the participating contestants compete in the battle, knockouts, and playoff rounds. With the help of coaches Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Gwen Stefani, contestants develop a better understanding of their skills.
One of the participants this season, Danny Joseph, made it to the Top 5 on the NBC show. Danny was raised in England before moving to America in 2016. He discovered his love for music during his journey from London to the US. As per his official bio on NBC, Danny Joseph’s life story is briefly described as follows:
“Danny moved from London to the U.S. when he met his wife 10 years ago at a church conference in Dallas. Being a law student in the U.K. made coming to the U.S. a huge culture shock, as it was the only home he knew. He eventually acclimated and started a family with Joanna.”

Danny Joseph auditioned on The Voice season 26 by performing a cover of I Put a Spell on You by Annie Lennox on stage. After his performance, all four coaches turned their chairs toward him, and Danny received applause from the audience. Reba McEntire was impressed by his ability to hook everyone with his strong vocal range and “powerful voice.” She said:
“You’ve got an amazing range and a very powerful voice … I do need to remind you that I did win last year, I’m very competitive, and I work real hard and I’ll help you any way I can. We’d have a great time. I’d love to have you on my team.”
Meanwhile, The Voice judge Gwen Stefani pointed out the rasp in Danny’s voice and noted its maturity. She called him one of the “most secure singers” throughout season 26 so far, adding:
“Everything about your look is perfect. And the fact that you’re English and then [moved to Texas], it’s so weird and I love it. I think you’re probably one of the strongest, most secure singers I’ve heard so far this season. There’s such a professional sound to your voice and the rasp and everything that you do is so rare.”
Toward the end of his blind audition, Joseph followed his intuition and decided to join Team Reba. Throughout the competition series, he proved his capabilities as a singer while experimenting with his singing style and range. He received praise for each performance in the Battle, Knockouts, and Playoff rounds.
Fast forward to the semi-finals, Danny became one of the two remaining contestants on Team Reba. In The Voice season 26 semi-finals, Danny sang House of the Rising Sun by The Animals. During the December 3, 2024 episode 19, it was revealed that Danny was the artist with the highest instant vote total heading into the finale.
The upcoming Live Finale Part 1 (episode 20) is set to air on December 9, 2024. This episode will reveal Danny’s fate. New episodes of The Voice season 26 air every week on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c exclusively on NBC and are available the next day on Peacock TV.
