Facts and figures
The actor owns a Gulfstream GIV produced by Gulfstream Aerospace and registered as N808T. The aircraft was produced between 1985 and 2015, and many models were sold to governments and for military purposes.
As a private jet, it is known for its luxury and comfort but is also reliable and efficient, as well as having long-range capabilities. It was developed from its predecessor, the Gulfstream GIII with a stretched fuselage.
The Gulfstream GIV is a high-performance aircraft that is well-suited to long-haul trips. It has two Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8 turbofan engines that produce 13,850 pounds of thrust.
The aircraft has a range of 4,220 nautical miles or 7,815 kilometers and has a maximum speed of Mach 0.88 or 581 miles per hour or 935 kilometers per hour. This allows for city pairings of:
Los Angeles – London
New York – Tokyo
Paris – Dubai
The aircraft has a ceiling of 45,000 feet, which allows for smoother flights and less air traffic.
It has state-of-the-art avionics with the Honeywell SPZ-8000 avionics suite, which features a dual flying management system, GPS, weather radar, and an Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS).

Bespoke interior
The aircraft has a spacious cabin with 19 reclining leather seats and plush cushions for extra comfort. The signature Gulfstream large panoramic windows allow natural light into the cabin and views of the skies.
Notably, there is a private movie screening area, presumably for relaxing during flights or, indeed, reviewing his own work. There are high-definition monitors and a surround sound system to make the experience more immersive.
The aircraft has a roomy bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub and gold faucets and accessories. Inside is a vanity area with a sink and mirror and lots of stowage for luxurious towels and amenities.
The galley has a microwave, oven, and chiller cabinet, as well as a coffee maker for gourmet meals at 40,000 feet. There is also a divan couch in the cabin that can be made into a full-size bed and closed off by a divider, a private place to sleep on those long-haul flights. The aircraft was apparently renovated to his own taste.

What does it cost to own?
Tom Cruise’s Gulfstream GIV’s estimated value is $20 million. The average price of a pre-owned GIV is between $2.9 million and $5.6 million, but a bespoke interior would make the price much higher.
Annual operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, crew salaries, and insurance, would exceed $1 million and run up to $2.25 million. Fuel alone is estimated at $1800 per hour. Therefore, if Tom uses the aircraft an average of 400 hours per year, it would cost $720,000.
Other aircraft
The actor also owns a P-51 Mustang that was featured in ‘Top Gun Maverick.’ It is a World War II-era single-seat fighter plane worth $4 million, which he bought in 2001.
It was originally built in 1944. This aircraft also has an additional canopy and K-24 cameras. It is also thought that Tom owns a Bombardier Challenger 300 with the registration N350XX. It is a ten-seat private jet with 3,220 miles of range. It has a ceiling of 45,000 feet and a maximum speed of 460 miles per hour.
He has also been seen numerous times disembarking a HondaJet HA-420, which he was reported to have bought in 2019. The aircraft registered as N77VA is an eight-seat private jet which has a range of 1,200 nautical miles.
It can fly at 43,000 feet and reach speeds of 500 miles per hour. It is thought to cost $7 million. All aircraft are said to be housed in his solely owned private hangar in Burbank, California.
