Megan Fox put her bad blood with Michael Bay aside when her fans misunderstood what she was saying and started attacking the director.
Megan Fox and Michael Bay have had a very public feud for quite some time now. Although they started off their careers as collaborators, they have since distanced after several public misunderstandings and badmouthing each other. The actress famously called the director “Hitler,” which resulted in her getting removed from the Transformers franchise.

With this, one would assume that their dislike for each other would go on till the ends of the earth. However, it would seem that despite their differences, Fox ended up coming to Bay’s support when the public began to misunderstand one of her interviews.
Fans Became Concerned For Megan Fox
In 2009, Megan Fox gave an interview with Jimmy Kimmel (via BBC), where she talked about what it was like for her to work with Michael Bay for the very first time. The clip resurfaced in 2020, and considering when she first starred in Bad Boys II, she was only 15 years old, many got upset with the descriptions that she was giving about her audition with the director.
Details surrounding the things that she was asked to do made many fans extremely angry. There are reports that she was allegedly asked to wash Bay’s Ferrari in a bikini for the role and was even forced to get drenched herself. Considering his age and the power imbalance between the two, it is not surprising that fans were uncomfortable. Due to this, Bay faced a lot of backlash online, with fans asking him to apologize to Fox for his behavior.
Interestingly enough, however, it would seem that this was the rare occasion where the actress was actually on Bay’s side. She ended up clearing up the entire situation and even called the media out on misunderstanding the true intentions behind her words.
Megan Fox Cleared the Air
After the clip of her interview resurfaced, Megan Fox took her Instagram (via EW), to talk about the entire situation candidly. She started by mentioning that she was very grateful that her fans felt the need to defend her as vocally as they did. She also elaborated that she has been a victim of misogyny over the years.

I was around 15 or 16 years old when I was an extra in Bad Boys II. There are multiple interviews where I shared the anecdote of being chosen for the scene and the conversations that took place surrounding it. It’s important to note however that when I auditioned for Transformers I was 19 or 20. I did ‘work’ (me pretending to know how to hold a wrench) on one of Michael’s Ferraris during one of the audition scenes.
It was at the Platinum Dunes studio parking lot, there were several other crew members and employees present and I was at no point undressed or anything similar. So, as far as this particular audition story I was not underaged at the time and I was not made to ‘wash’ or work on someone’s cars in a way that was extraneous from the material in the actual script.
