Taylor Swift officially rang in her 35th birthday on Thursday, December 12, but the festivities continued into Friday night with a special celebration. It was a milestone new era for the “Blank Space” singer, but Swifties began to speculate that Travis Kelce wouldn’t be attending Swift’s birthday plans when he was spotted at a “mandatory” Kansas City Chiefs obligation. However, according to a source, the football player still ensured that Swift rang in her 35th in style by surprising her with an intimate night for the two of them.
According to Page Six, a source reported that the tight end dipped out early from the Chiefs Christmas party to spend time with his girlfriend. Kelce, who was awarded the Walter Payton Man of the Year award by Chiefs owner Clark Hunt on Friday night, was spotted wearing a red Santa hat in photos and videos shared by the Hunt family. While Hunt’s wife Tavia called out Taylor Swift’s birthday in her Instagram post, the “Shake It Off” star wasn’t spotted in any footage from the bash, leading fans to wonder if the couple was spending the night apart.

However, a source reports that Kelce and Swift rang in her 35th birthday in private “just them too”–and the athlete reportedly made sure that his girlfriend felt spoiled. “He got her a ton of gifts,” the insider said, adding that while attendance at the Chiefs party was “mandatory,” he prioritized leaving early “to go be with Taylor for her birthday.”
