The Voice season 26 is still months away, but the show is already spilling some major tea about who’s going to be returning to the show for season 27 in the spring of 2025.
To the surprise and delight of longtime fans, The Voice revealed via Deadline that original coach Adam Levine will make a grand return to the series as a coach for season 27 after leaving in season 20 back in 2021. What’s more, Adam will be joined by John Legend (who is leaving for season 26 in the fall of 2024 to go on tour), Michael Bublé and newcomer Kelsea Ballerini, who will make her coaching debut after previously appearing on the show in seasons past.
If that didn’t excite fans enough, The Voice dropped an official announcement video from Adam on Instagram on June 5, expressing his elation over returning to the NBC series.
“Season 27, yes I’m coming back,” he said in the clip while already displaying some of his classic antics. “I’m so excited. I cannot wait. I’m well rested. I’m ready to go. I’m a little nervous… I’m not nervous, but I’m so excited, and it’s going to be great. I can’t wait. It’s gonna be awesome… Team Adam is back, and I feel bad for the other teams. Let’s go.”
To no one’s surprise, fans immediately got riled up and couldn’t wait to share their excitement for Adam to return to The Voice for season 27.
“Awe love this 🥹❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “YAAS 🔥🔥🔥 He is back 🔥 It’s going to be awesome 😍 It’s going to be great 💪 It’s going to be epic 🔥,” another declared. “Ohhhhhhh I’m so happy ♥️🔥,” a different follower added.
While Adam is thrilled about joining The Voice once again, we can’t forget about Kelsea making her long-awaited debut as a coach in the same season!
Fans remember that Kelsea initially joined The Voice family in season 15 when she was a coach for the Comeback Stage of the competition, and came back for season 16 as an advisor for Kelly Clarkson during the Battle rounds and stepped in for Kelly for a stint during season 20.
What’s more, Kelsea is clearly thrilled to be coaching her own team, thanks to the joint post she made with the show on Instagram. “First ever coach of the comeback stage, to an advisor, to a fill in, to AN OFFICIAL COACH ON THE VOICE SPRING 2025,” read the caption. “Welcome #TeamKelsea!”
Looks like we have a lot to look forward to!
