Slipping and falling after a dunk, LeBron James had a spectacular backflip. The video totally made fans’ jaw drop!

NBA fans are loving LeBron James’ highlight tape of his backflip.

LeBron James, the standout forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, posted a highlight clip on Instagram on Monday. The 39-year-old’s selection of music and video has NBA fans inconsolable.

In James’ highlight film, he executed a left-handed dunk, performed a backflip, and stood up. Two of his 28 points came from the dunk in the Lakers’ 134-110 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

“Just having a lil fun!!” James wrote.

As was to be expected, fans enjoyed themselves immensely with James’ highlight reel, joking around about his last name and dubious technological usage.

“LeGymnastics,” one fan said.

“LeHavingFun,” another said.

“Bron [is] f**king hilarious, bro. Just an OG with an iPhone,” another said.

Many others, however, made comments about James’s use of music from the dance/musical film “Stomp the Yard,” which starred rapper Chris Brown in 2007.

“Is that the music from Stomp the Yard? LMAO, classic,” one fan said.

“Stomp the Yard finishing move is insane,” another said.

Here are a few more of the most popular responses from viewers to James’ highlight reel:

Even at 39 years old, LeBron James is still an incredible athlete

LeBron James is in his 21st season and still going strong as an athletic marvel at 39.

At that point in their careers, some athletes who have played for more than 20 seasons were nothing more than husks. The four-time NBA champion is still producing excellent all-around play, though.

James’s stats through 40 games are as follows: 52.0% shooting, 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.2 3-pointers per game.

Even with his continued durability, the Lakers (22-22) are having difficulty competing in the tough Western Conference. They are among the NBA’s worst 3-point shooting teams, sitting ninth halfway through the season and ranking 28th in 3-pointers made per game (11.0).

It would be difficult for most people to blame James for LA’s offensive inadequacies, though, considering he looks certain to be selected for his 20th All-Star team.

James has only missed four games so far this season, demonstrating his remarkable durability. Nevertheless, he has been ruled out of Tuesday’s fifth game against the LA Clippers due to left ankle soreness. The Lakers will therefore need to figure out a method to prevail without their second-best scorer.

LA is currently 2-2 without James and 20-20 with him.
