Nancy Guthrie abducted from her Arizona home; investigation enters fourth week.
Mixed DNA samples found, with one unknown partial profile still unidentified.
Family offers $1 million reward; FBI and others add $200,000 for information.
Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, when authorities say she was abducted from her Arizona home in the middle of the night.
As the investigation continues into its fourth week, authorities say they are waiting on the results from the DNA found inside Nancy’s home, which Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said was “mixed.” This means that there’s more than one person’s DNA together, which makes things challenging for labs trying to process the samples.

Previously, the public was told that the DNA found inside Guthrie’s home was not a match for Guthrie, 84, or anyone in her immediate family.
“DNA other than Nancy Guthrie’s and those in close contact to her has been collected from the property,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PSCD) said in a statement to People magazine on Friday, Feb. 13. “Investigators are working to identify who it belongs to. We are not disclosing where that DNA was located.”
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Fox News’ Michael Ruiz reported something a bit different.
“The DNA samples recovered from inside Nancy Guthrie’s home mainly came back to people who had a reason to be there, according to two federal law enforcement sources,” Ruiz wrote on X. “One unknown sample yielded only a partial profile that could not be checked against the FBI’s CODIS database of known offenders.”
Meanwhile, NewsNation’s Libby Dean reported something similar on her X account.
This latest update has not been confirmed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department or the FBI.
Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Guthrie’s daughter, Savannah Guthrie, spoke publicly for the first time in a week.
“We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” a tearful Savannah said, before acknowledging the possibility that her mom may no longer be with us.
“She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves,” Savannah continued. “And if this is what is to be, then we will accept it. But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”
The FBI is also offering a $100,000 reward and there has been an additional $100,000 reward offered by a Milwaukee attorney.
