The Shonda Rhimes-created period drama Bridgerton returned for its fourth season on January 29 and once again became the most dominant force on the streaming charts. However, the arrival of a new season of a hit legal drama has changed the order at the top. A fourth season of The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the books by Michael Connelly, has managed to oust the hit period drama from the #1 spot, although with the second half of Bridgerton Season 4 on its way, this isn’t set to last. 3‘Tiny Pretty Things’ (2020)

Likened thematically by some to Bridgerton and released just a few weeks before its debut season, the series follows young adults who put themselves through intense ballet training and vicious gossip on the hunt for glory.

Based on the novel of the same name by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton, this series might’ve been met with mixed reviews back in 2020, but in hindsight, there is plenty to enjoy. Packed with high drama and scandal that’s sure to draw you in, Tiny Pretty Things is the perfect binge-watch whilst you wait for Bridgerton Season 4, Part 2 to debut.

2‘Jekyll and Hyde’ (2015)

Everyone has heard of the tale of Jekyll and Hyde, but have you seen this impressive 2015 adaptation that first aired on ITV? A loose continuation of Robert Louis Stevenson‘s 1886 novella, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Young Bond writer Charlie Higson‘s Jekyll and Hyde follows Robert Jekyll (Tom Bateman), the grandson of the original doctor, as he searches for the cursed truth to his past.

Boasting an impressive central cast including the aforementioned Bateman, Donald Sumpter, Richard E. Grant, and more, Jekyll and Hyde provides a fresh story born from one of literature’s best. A series that gets better as it goes on, this immersive period tale has just 10 episodes in total, making it the perfect binge-watch this week.

Fans of Yellowstone will want to begin their binge-watch of this perfect Canadian replacement series as soon as possible. Heartland follows the ups, downs, and in-betweens of a multi-generational family living in Alberta, Canada.
