Royal Watchers Claim Queen Camilla Told Kate Middleton to âMoveâ During Melania Trump Chat

Queen Camilla raised eyebrows for her recent interaction with Princess Kate Middleton as the royals met with President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, in the U.K.
Camilla, 77, was caught on video in what appeared to be an awkward exchange with Kate, 43, while greeting Melania, 55, at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, September 17.
In footage shared via social media, the Princess of Wales walked over to speak with Melania, who was already engaged in conversation with Camilla. Kate and Melania seemingly shared niceties and smiled at each other before Camilla appeared to shoo her daughter-in-law out of the way.
Royal watchers claim that the queen told Kate to âmoveâ and then swept her hand to motion that Kate move along. Kate then walked away toward husband Prince William and Trump, 79, who were speaking with King Charles III.

âIt looks like Camilla moved her purse to her other hand. Isnât that a sign to move along?â one user wrote via X.
Other users, however, claimed that Camilla was ushering Kate out of the way because the horse and carriages were arriving and would be stopping close to where she was standing. âIt has nothing to do with being shooed away,â one viewer commented via X.
Later in the video, the carriages do in fact come into frame and walk near the entire family and their guests. The royals and the Trumps can then be seen standing in a line so the horses can approach.
Us Weekly has reached out to the royal family for comment.
William, 43, and Kate were the first to meet Donald and Melania on Wednesday as they arrived by plane on the Windsor Castle grounds.

The foursome were photographed smiling as they walked to greet the king, 76, and Camilla outside Victoria House.
Following the awkward exchange between Kate and Camilla, the carriages took everyone to Windsor Castle. Camilla rode with Melania in the Scottish State Coach, while the Prince and Princess of Wales rode with Warren Stephens, the U.S. ambassador to the U.K., and his wife.

Wednesdayâs greeting kicked off Donald and Melaniaâs official state visit in England. Throughout their first day, the president and his wife visited St Georgeâs Chapel where they laid a wreath atop Queen Elizabeth IIâs grave.
There was also a military flyover and an intimate tea. Wednesdayâs festivities will end with a state banquet held at Windsor Castle.
