TUCSON’S TERROR
‘Bloody rock & glove found mile from Nancy Guthrie’s home’ as neighbors say they’re too scared to sleep after bed snatch
A BLOODY glove and rock have allegedly been found just a mile away from Nancy Guthrie’s home as the search for her is set to enter its fourth week.
It comes as her neighbors are too scared to go to sleep at night after the 84-year-old mother of Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie was snatched from her bedroom in Tucson, Arizona on the night of January 31.

A couple who were out on a walk on February 11, say they found a pair of blood-stained black gloves and a rock with what appeared to be a blood spot in the desert just a mile away from her home, KVOA reported.
The pair who have spoken anonymously, say they found the items discarded on the ground off Campbell Avenue in the Catalina Foothills.
They said that one of the gloves was about 10 feet away from the rock, on top of which, was another glove.
After seeing the suspicious items, they took a closer look and “sure enough, it was a black glove in the desert. It appeared to have looked like it was ripped. It also appeared to look like it had blood on it,” they said.
“There was two different colors. The blood was more towards the wrist side of the glove and on the pointer finger, it looked like it was ripped.”
“It didn’t just look like a regular glove. It looked like this was a glove used for something that could’ve possibly been what they were looking for,” the wife added.
After taking pictures of the item and the surrounding scene without touching anything, they then spotted the rock which a second glove was lying on and it appeared to have at least one blood splatter.
“And also from the glove it looked like a blood drop on a rock underneath the glove was like dried blood or something,” the husband explained.
“We didn’t move it or touch it. We immediately were like, we have to do something. So I was like I will call the sheriff department.”
Officers questioned the couple who were allowed to leave the scene while investigators stayed until around 2am, according to the outlet.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that the gloves would be tested if they were taken in as evidence by the officers on scene, however, they did not say if this happened.
“We cannot confirm at this time. Detectives and agents have collected multiple gloves from the area and analysis is part of the investigation,” the department told the news outlet.
Several gloves have been recovered from the surrounding area and sent for testing but there have been no DNA matches to results in the FBI’s database.
Last week investigators revealed there had been a DNA breakthrough with one of the gloves appearing to match those worn by a masked intruder captured on Guthrie’s doorbell footage the night she went missing.

“The one with the DNA profile recovered is different and appears to match the gloves of the subject in the surveillance video,” an FBI spokesperson told Fox News Digital last weekend.
Investigators already revealed that mystery DNA found inside Guthrie’s home did not match with anyone “close” to her.
Drops of blood were found at the property with chilling pictures showing the splatters outside the $1 million house where there were also signs of forced entry – it is not known if that is the same DNA referenced by authorities.
No suspects or persons of interest have been identified by authorities as leads appear to be drying up with the last update coming on Thursday when the FBI was reported to have “names and photos matching the masked man,” none of which have been given and no arrests made.
Meanwhile, Nancy’s neighbors are too scared to go to sleep at night following her sudden disappearance.
Nevada-based broadcaster and Guthrie family friend Bill Buckmaster told NBC News how Nancy’s family and the local community are in a “living nightmare.”
“It is a very difficult time in Tucson. It has been a living nightmare for this community for the past three weeks.
“We’ve all just been shocked to the core. Those of us who know Savannah and the family as I do, it’s been very very difficult.
“I know some friends have had difficulty even sleeping.”
“We want Nancy home and we want a successful resolution to this case. We are all on edge and we want it to be over with a happy ending,” Buckmaster added.
