Alison Hammond has pushed back against claims her younger boyfriend is a ‘toyboy’.
The This Morning host, 49, is currently dating masseuse David Putman, 27, who was born and raised in Russia.
The couple first met when Alison became a client of his last year, forming a friendship before starting to date.
They confirmed their relationship earlier this year with Alison also sharing her son Aiden, 19, approved and thought David was ‘lovely’.
Alison has now spoken about their age difference but why they ‘fit like a jigsaw’.
‘I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. But honestly, when we see the word “toyboy” written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all,’ she said.

‘Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand.
‘People have said to me: “We get it now”.’ He’s so mature and sensible, and I’m so not. And the things he says to me…they’re just so lovely. It’s like a jigsaw; we fit, and it all comes together,’ she added when speaking to Good Housekeeping.
In the interview Alison also spoke about how her late mum Maria, who died in 2020 after being diagnosed with cancer, helped shape her recent lifestyle shift.
‘Just before she died, Mum said to me: “If you can, sort out your weight, Alison”, and that really set it in my head,’ she shared.

After finding out she was pre-diabetic, Alison was left ‘frightened’ and then realised she had to cut out sweets and fatty foods and start exercising.
She’s now no longer pre-diabetic so can be ‘a bit naughtier’ with food now, with Alison adding she ‘loves my new shape’ and enjoyed being able to wear things she wouldn’t have felt able to before.
After sharing photos with David on social media for the first time in April, friends of Alison said she’d ‘never been happier’.
The TV presenter, who also hosts Great British Bake Off and For the Love of Dogs, previously dated gardener Ben Hawkins for two years before they split in 2023.
