Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong split back in 2018 after spending two decades together and being married for 11 of those years.

Fans were saddened to hear that Lisa had filed for divorce from the I’m A Celeb host as he had become ‘intolerable to live with’, according to court documents.

However, this was just the beginning of the heartbreak for Lisa, 47, who only discovered that her husband Ant had moved on with their former PA Anne Marie-Corbett when their romance hit the headlines.

Anne-Marie, who is now expecting a baby with the Geordie presenter, had worked for Ant and Lisa for six years and even helped to organise their 10th wedding anniversary part in 2016, the Mirror reports.

Outside of work, make up artist Lisa had also been close friends with Anne-Marie but just one year later, everything has changed between the trio with Lisa expressing her shock in a devastated 12-word tweet.

Back in June 2018, while Ant and Lisa were still officially married, The Sun broke the news that Ant, 48, had started dating Anne-Marie, with the pair becoming close during Ant’s personal difficulties.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Lisa claimed to have only learned of their relationship after she read about it in the newspaper.

Replying to a social media user who expressed their sympathies, Lisa said: “Yeah My friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home”, finishing off her message with a broken heart emoji.

When asked by someone else whether Ant had been ‘decent’ enough to prewarn her before their romance went public, Lisa said: “Nope. Just [found out] how you guys did x”.

Ant and Anne-Marie, 46, tied the knot back in August 2021 and now reside in a lavish £6m Wimbledon Village mansion together, some six miles away from the five-bedroom Chiswick home he previously shared with Lisa.

In February, the couple announced they were expecting a baby with the news seeming coming as another heart breaking blow for Ant’s ex-wife.

A source close to Lisa told the Mail Online: “Ant didn’t even have the decency to let Lisa know. Like the rest of the world, she had to read about it in the news and you can only imagine what a shock that must have been for her.

“For someone you’d shared so much with not to tell you something that they knew full well was going to become a huge, huge story in the press is pretty hard to get your head around.

“It is a horrible shame that Lisa had to find out like this. You can just imagine how hard that would hit her. It is heartbreaking.”

Ant will be looking forward to becoming a parent for the first time while Anne-Marie already has two kids from her previous marriage to businessman Scott-Corbett, who she divorced in 2017.

Ant and his sidekick Declan Donnelly returned to screens tonight for their final episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway before the beloved ITV show, which has been running for 22 years, goes on hiatus.
