Dec Donnelly welcomed his second child, a son, with wife Ali Astall in 2022 and paid tribute to his friend Ant McPartlin when they shared his name. The presenter posted on the official Ant and Dec Twitter account: “Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light. He is wonderful, and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister! D x.”
Baby Jack shared his middle name with Dec’s best friend Ant while Alphonsus was a sweet nod to Dec’s late father. According to the Bump, Jack means “God is gracious”.
Dec and Ali previously welcomed daughter Isla Elizabeth Anne, in 2018. The couple married in 2015.

Ant is expecting his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett and a body language expert noted he appears “protective” when they have been seen out together. Most recently, the couple enjoyed a double date with Jamie Redknapp and his wife Frida Andersson.
Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror: “Anne-Marie looks so relaxed and happy in these poses, smiling broadly as she cradles her bump with one hand, suggesting high levels of delight at her pregnancy but also the levels of calm that you might expect from someone who has given birth twice before.
“His facial expression suggests some levels of anxiety although when he turns to look down at the bump the grin that appears suggests not only pride and excitement but he also seems to be communicating with the baby already here.”

Ant previously acknowledged his upcoming role as a father when he dished on the reason for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway coming to an end. Speaking to Fault magazine in February, he explained: “On a more personal level, part of the reason we’re pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family.
“We’ve both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit. We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now.”
Ant is currently stepdad to Anne-Marie’s two children from her previous marriage.
