Ginny and Georgia star Scott Porter spoke to Reach Screen Time about the Netflix comedy-drama
One of the stars from Netflix’s beloved comedy-drama, Ginny and Georgia opened up about what the future may hold on the show.
In an insightful chat with Reach Screen Time, Scott Porter, who captures hearts as Mayor Paul Randolph, divulged some juicy potential developments from the fourth season, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Porter said about the upcoming season: “What I really love about going into season four is the reversal of roles between Paul and Georgia. She’s kind of the town hero, and he’s the outcast being looked down upon, not trusted and being spoken about in whispers behind his back.”
He also teased: “So seeing how the two of them react to their new roles and how they assume their new roles is going to be really fun.”

On what he hopes for his character’s interactions, he mused: “I’m hoping that when the two of them interact in season four, which I think we will have to see, they still live in the same small town together, we get a little bit of that banter that we had in seasons one and two.”
The last season closed with Georgia (Brianne Howey) walking free from murder charges, thanks to Ginny (Antonia Gentry) swaying Austin’s (Diesel La Torraca) testimony.
On another front, Paul found himself scrambling after breaking ties with Georgia and facing a revoked mayorship, setting him up for a cutthroat election to salvage his career.
Reflecting on Paul’s state of mind at the end of the third season, the actor stated: “He can’t believe the rest of the world is seeing her as some sort of innocent victim in all of this and he’s some how the villain in the public perception, when all he did time and time again was ask for her to be honest with him. So he could protect their union, he could protect his career and he could protect their family.”

Regarding the dynamic between the mayor and his now ex-wife, the actor added: “Paul’s relationship with Georgia is one of surprise because of the flipping of the roles, one of very high distrust, and I believe Paul is a hurting person. And people who are hurting often want to hurt others.”
However, Porter emphasized that Paul is not the type to seek revenge, instead opting for “serious soul-searching” and “picking up the pieces of his life”.
He concluded: “I hope we see him rebound and come back with some resilience and that old charm that we saw from Paul in seasons one and two.”

Porter revealed that production for season four was on the horizon, spilling: “We’re pretty excited to get back into work”.
Although the writers’ room for Ginny and Georgia’s fourth season is now operational, the scripts are still being developed, leaving the future of Wellsbury uncertain.
However, creator Sarah Lampert has hinted that the new season will focus on cycles, with Georgia confronting her past after receiving a warning from her imprisoned father, Shane Reilly, about her mother and stepfather.
