Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer Are More Connected Than Netflix Lets On… 👀⚖️
A detective. A defense lawyer. Two different battles — one hidden bond.
Could blood be thicker than justice?
👇 Fans are starting to piece it together — and the twist could change everything.

Matthew McConaughey’s The Lincoln Lawyer has begun its climb towards the top of the streaming charts.
Based on Michael Connelly’s 2005 film of the same name, which itself is set in the same universe as Connelly’s Bosch series, The Lincoln Lawyer stars McConaughey as Mickey Haller, a defense attorney who largely works out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car. Haller’s work usually revolves around defending low-level criminals and drug offenders, although his latest case quickly draws him into a much bigger, more insidious plot than he could have ever imagined. Soon enough, Haller is facing off against not just opposing counsel, but shadowy threats and menacing figures alike.
Upon its release, The Lincoln Lawyer was met with generally positive reviews from critics, though it didn’t prove to be the massive success its producers had hoped. Over the course of its original theatrical run, The Lincoln Lawyer brought in more than $87 million against a $40 million budget. The Lincoln Lawyer currently holds an impressive 83% “Fresh” rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, which is almost identical to its 83% “Popcornmeter” score, the latter of which was averaged across more than 50,000 user-submitted reviews of the film.
What’s Next for Fans of The Lincoln Lawyer?

While McConaughey’s time portraying Mickey Haller ended after just one film, The Lincoln Lawyer returned in 2022 with a brand-new streaming series starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the leading role. Currently headed into its hotly-anticipated fourth season, Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer is set to pick up shortly after Season 3 ended, with the body of Christopher Thornton’s con artist Sam Scales being found inside the trunk of Mickey Haller’s car. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo himself recently promised fans that Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer is “The most emotional season—heavy emotion—because of how we found him.”
The Lincoln Lawyer is currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
