Cardi B is pregnant with her first baby with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, four months after confirming their romance in June. The Grammy winner also shares three kids with ex Offset.
Cardi B is out here drippin’ in finesse as she prepares to become a mom of four.
Indeed, the “Up” rapper is pregnant with baby no. 4, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, she confirmed during an appearance on CBS Mornings Sept. 17.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi told Gayle King, later noting she’s due ahead of her Little Miss Drama tour in February. “I’ve been putting in all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
And while Cardi is amid rollout for her album Am I The Drama?, out Sept. 19, she emphasized that she is super excited.
“I’m happy I feel like I’m in a good space,” she continued. “Me and my man are very supportive of each other. We like in the same space in our careers. You know what it is that I feel like we’re really great, we’re really the best at what we do.”
And while Cardi admitted she hadn’t yet told her parents before her on-air interview, she added, “I felt like can I just say it on my own time, I’m not hiding.”
The 32-year-old went on to explain that part of the reason she feels so strong—even despite people coming at her “very hard” amid her album rollout—is her man.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she gushed. “And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
Since Cardi finally shared the big news with her fans, she is expecting them to favor her in return.
“Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff,” she joked. “I told you. Now go support my album, ’cause I’m a mother of four now.”
The news comes three months after Cardi and the New England Patriots wide receiver confirmed their relationship with a public date night at a New York Knicks game in May. Indeed, the “I Like It” artist’s five-year on-again, off-again relationship with Offset—with whom she shares Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 12 months—officially came to a close in July 2024 when she filed for divorce, and then shared she was pregnant with Blossom.
And though the former couple are still going through divorce proceedings, Cardi began alluding to her romance with Stefon in December, saying she was “dating” again that month.

Then, in February, the pair stepped out for the first time, spending Valentine’s Day together at a Miami hotel. Months later, Cardi confirmed her romance on social media in June, sharing a since-deleted video of the duo dancing on a yacht as well as a photo of a special delivery of flowers later in the post, where she exclaims in awe, “Jesus Christ, oh boy.”
Cardi proved her man loves to spoil her and subtly clapped back at break up rumors in one quick post. As the 32-year-old showed off her lavish jewelry collection, she shared that a new staple part of her accessories was a gift from the NFL star: a $73,000 Patek Philippe watch.
“My boo boo got it for me at London Jewelers,” Cardi said in an Aug. 2 TikTok, showing off the timepiece on her wrist. “At first I thought he was buying himself a watch and then he was like, ‘Surprise, a watch for you!’”
Considering the “WAP” rapper and football star are sparing no expense when it comes to expressing their love for each other, it comes as no surprise they are welcoming a new little one. After all, Cardi previously emphasized how important motherhood is to her, noting she wanted to be around for every single moment for her eldest.
“I couldn’t even think about getting a nanny because I was afraid of anybody being around her besides my family,” Cardi told Vogue Singapore in 2022 of her bond with Kulture, adding, “I’m never far from my kids because that’s my responsibility as a mother.”

Cardi B’s Joyful Announcement: Expecting First Child with Stefon Diggs Amid Blossoming Romance
In a heartwarming revelation that has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and sports worlds, Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B confirmed on Wednesday that she is pregnant with her fourth child—and her first with boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs. The announcement, made during a pre-taped interview on CBS Mornings with veteran journalist Gayle King, comes just four months after the couple publicly confirmed their romance in June, marking a whirlwind chapter in Cardi’s high-profile personal life. At 32 years old, the Bronx-born superstar, known for her unapologetic authenticity and chart-topping hits, shared the news with a mix of excitement and reflection, emphasizing her happiness in this new phase.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi told King, her voice steady yet beaming with joy. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space right now.” The interview, which aired on September 17, delved into not just the pregnancy but also Cardi’s evolving career, her past with ex-husband Offset, and the “sparkling” connection she shares with Diggs. For fans who have followed Cardi’s rollercoaster journey—from her rise on Love & Hip Hop to superstardom with albums like Invasion of Privacy (2018)—this news feels like a triumphant pivot, blending family expansion with romantic fulfillment.
The timing of the announcement is particularly poignant. Cardi and Diggs, both powerhouses in their respective fields, first sparked dating rumors in late 2024. Whispers of their connection grew louder in early 2025, fueled by subtle social media interactions and sightings at high-profile events. It wasn’t until June, however, that the couple made it official. In a candid Instagram Live session, Cardi addressed the speculation head-on, posting cozy photos of the pair and declaring, “Yes, we’re together. He’s my man, and I’m his woman. That’s it.” The confirmation came four months ago, aligning perfectly with the pregnancy timeline, as Cardi is reportedly in her second trimester.
Their relationship’s public debut, however, traces back to May 2025, when eagle-eyed fans spotted them courtside at a New York Knicks game. Diggs, the 31-year-old wide receiver who was traded to the New England Patriots in a blockbuster deal earlier this year, was seen draping his arm around Cardi, who sported a custom red ensemble that matched his team colors. The moment went viral, with social media ablaze over the unlikely yet electric pairing of a hip-hop icon and an NFL standout. “From courtside dates to controversy to baby news, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs are officially one of 2025’s most-watched celebrity couples,” noted a timeline compiled by entertainment outlet Bossip.
What makes this romance so captivating is the contrast—and synergy—between the two. Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, has long been a symbol of resilience and reinvention. Her marriage to rapper Offset, which ended in divorce filings in 2020 before an on-again-off-again saga, produced three children: daughter Kulture Kiari, 7; son Wave Set, 4; and their youngest, a daughter born in 2023 amid a brief reconciliation. The co-parenting dynamic with Offset has been public and often tumultuous, with Cardi frequently sharing glimpses of their blended family life on Instagram. Yet, she has emphasized maintaining a positive environment for her kids, stating in past interviews, “My babies come first, always.”
Enter Stefon Diggs, whose own life story adds layers to this union. The Maryland native, drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015, has carved out a Pro Bowl career with his speed and precision on the field. After stints with the Buffalo Bills and a contentious exit in 2024, his move to the Patriots has reignited his star power. Diggs, who has no children from previous relationships, brings a sense of stability and athletic discipline to the mix. Cardi described their bond during the CBS Mornings sit-down as “very safe” and complementary. “He makes me feel secure, and I bring the energy,” she said with a laugh. “It’s like sparks are sparkling, honey. He’s gotta be mine.”
The pregnancy news has already sparked widespread congratulations, but it’s not without its undercurrents of discussion. Fans and media alike are buzzing about how this will intersect with Cardi’s professional trajectory. The rapper is gearing up for her highly anticipated album Little Miss Drama, slated for release later this year, and an accompanying tour. In the interview, Cardi addressed concerns about balancing motherhood with her demanding schedule: “I’ve done this before. Pregnancy doesn’t stop me; it fuels me. I’ll be performing with a baby bump if I have to.” Her past performances while pregnant—most notably during her 2018 pregnancy with Kulture, when she dropped the surprise track “Be Careful”—set a precedent for her ability to multitask.
Moreover, the announcement sheds light on Cardi’s deliberate approach to privacy. She revealed to King that she waited to go public because she wanted to “close some deals first.” In an era of instant gratification and paparazzi scrutiny, Cardi’s choice to control the narrative underscores her growth. “I announced on my own time,” she explained. “Not because of rumors or pressure. This is my life, my family.” This sentiment resonates deeply with her fanbase, who admire her for turning vulnerability into strength.
Looking back at the timeline of Cardi and Diggs’ relationship, it’s a modern fairy tale laced with real-world grit. Rumors first swirled in December 2024 when they were photographed leaving a holiday party in Atlanta together. By February 2025, sources close to the couple told People magazine that they were “exclusive and serious,” bonding over shared interests like fashion, music, and philanthropy. Diggs, an advocate for mental health awareness through his Diggs Foundation, aligns with Cardi’s own charitable efforts, including her support for women’s empowerment and disaster relief.
Their June confirmation was a masterclass in authenticity. Cardi, ever the social media maven, shared a series of photos from a romantic getaway in the Bahamas, captioning it, “Love in full bloom 🌸 #NewChapter.” Diggs, more reserved on his platforms, reposted the images with a simple heart emoji, letting actions speak louder. Since then, the couple has been inseparable, attending events like the Met Gala after-parties and Diggs’ Patriots home opener. Insiders say their chemistry is palpable: “Stefon grounds her, and Cardi brings out his playful side,” one source told Entertainment Tonight.
As for the family expansion, this baby will be a significant addition to Cardi’s brood. With three children from her marriage to Offset—Kulture, Wave, and their 2-year-old daughter—the rapper has navigated co-parenting with grace, even amid Offset’s legal troubles and public reconciliations. Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, congratulated Cardi on social media shortly after the announcement, posting, “Blessings to the family. Congrats sis.” The amicable response suggests a maturing dynamic, focused on the children’s well-being.
For Diggs, stepping into fatherhood is uncharted territory. The athlete, who grew up in a large family in Gaithersburg, Maryland, has spoken about his desire to build a legacy off the field. “Family is everything,” he told ESPN in a July profile. “I’m excited for this next chapter.” Whether the baby will inherit Cardi’s flair or Diggs’ athletic prowess remains to be seen, but speculation is already rife about a future mini-celebrity.
The broader cultural impact of this news cannot be understated. Cardi B has long been a trailblazer for women in hip-hop, breaking barriers with her raw lyricism and unfiltered persona. Her pregnancy announcements have historically tied into her music—think the iconic maternity photoshoot for Invasion of Privacy. Fans are eager for how Little Miss Drama might reflect this personal milestone, with tracks rumored to explore love, redemption, and motherhood.
Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with hashtags like #CardiBaby4 and #DiggsCardi trending worldwide. Celebrities from Nicki Minaj to Travis Scott have sent well-wishes, while outlets like CNN and The New York Times highlight the couple’s role in bridging pop culture and sports. Yet, Cardi remains grounded. “This isn’t just about me,” she told King. “It’s about building something real with someone who gets it.”
As Cardi B and Stefon Diggs prepare for parenthood, their story serves as a reminder of love’s unpredictability. From rumored flings to family announcements in under a year, this duo has captured hearts. With a baby on the way and careers soaring, the future looks brighter than ever. Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents—may their “sparkling” journey continue to inspire.
