The beef goes on.
Conan O’Brien quipped about Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s years-long beef and Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show during the 2025 Oscars.
A little over two hours into the Oscars broadcast, O’Brien, 61, joked, “Well, we’re halfway through the show, which means it’s time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.”

K-Dot, 37, headlined the NFL’s halftime show and performed his Grammy-winning Drake dis track, “Not Like Us,” on the field at the Superdome in New Orleans.
The song was teased from the start of Lamar’s performance, leaving fans wondering whether he would perform the song in which he accuses Drake of being a “pedophile.”
“I want to play their favorite song, but you know they love to sue,” the Pulitzer Prize-winner rapped, seemingly nodding to Drake’s legal actions against their shared record label, Universal Music Group.
Lamar ultimately performed the dis towards the end of his halftime show, though he removed one word from the song.

Instead of spitting the line, “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles,” a lyric which also references Drake’s 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy,” Lamar omitted the word “pedophile.”
But Lamar still performed two of the song’s other brutal bars: “Say, Drake, I hear you like ‘em young / You better not ever go to cell block one.”
He then rapped, “Why you trollin’ like a …,” leaving out the word, “b–ch?,” before adding, “Ain’t you tired? / Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor.”

The line “A minor” definitely struck a chord with the crowd, who chanted along loudly.
Aside from Lamar and Drake, O’Brien took aim at Karla Sofía Gascón, Adam Sandler and Timothée Chalamet during Sunday’s broadcast.
“‘Anora’ uses the f-word 479 times,” O’Brien began one of his opening monologue jokes, referring to one of the year’s Best Picture nominees, before adding, “that’s three more than the record set by Karla Sofía Gascón’s publicist.”

Gascón, the first transgender woman to be nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, suffered a dramatic fall from grace after some of her controversial social media posts resurfaced in January.
Turning to Best Actor nominee Chalamet, dressed in a bright yellow ensemble, O’Brien quipped, “Timmy Chalamet is up for Best Actor tonight.”
“Love that suit, you will not get hit on your bike tonight. Safe!” he joked, alluding to the actor getting a ticket riding a bike to the premiere of his movie “A Complete Unknown.”
“Finally, for such a prestigious night, it’s important that everyone is properly dressed,” O’Brien went on, as cameras cut to Adam Sandler sitting in the audience wearing basketball shorts, sneakers and a blue hoodie.
“Nobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up!” Sandler replied in faux indignation as he dramatically left his seat.
