Beloved “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy has put his longtime New Jersey home on the market for just under $1.8 million—weeks after tearfully announcing that he was stepping down from his full-time role on the hit show in order to relocate to Florida.
Doocy, 68, who had appeared as a co-host on the program since its inception in 1998, revealed in early May that he would be ending his decadeslong run as a full-time star, after growing increasingly frustrated with his 3:30 a.m. commute from his Wyckoff abode to the network’s Manhattan studio.
Speaking to viewers during the May 1 episode of “Fox & Friends,” Doocy—whose son, Peter Doocy, is a Fox News correspondent—insisted that his relocation did not mean he was “retiring,” but rather taking on a new part-time position that would see him hosting from farther afield.
“After decades of getting up at 3:30 and driving into NYC in the dark, today is the last day I will host the show … from the couch. I am not retiring, I’m not leaving the show. I’m still a host—but it’s time for a change,” he said.
He added that, after years of living in New Jersey with his wife, Kathy, the couple were planning to move to the Sunshine State, where they own a home in Jupiter, which is also home to several members of the Trump family, including Don Jr.; his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump; and Eric and Lara Trump.

Indeed, Doocy noted that his move to Florida would give him plenty of opportunity to cover new topics—particularly because he was going to be located so much closer to President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago resort.
“I’ll be going from the Carolinas to the Keys. From Middle America to Mar-a-Lago. Call me the coast-to-coast host,” he said.
Doocy made no mention of whether he planned to keep a home base near New York—however it appears he’s now decided to commit to his new life in Florida by listing his property in New Jersey, which he and his wife have owned since 1994.
The property, which was put on the market on June 19, is described in its listing as a “classic Sicomac beauty on over an acre,” offering four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a stunning backyard with ample space for kids to run around and play.
Though some of the rooms may well need updating, with the description noting that the kitchen was last renovated in 2010, the dwelling has undergone some more recent upgrades, with the primary bath listed as having been overhauled in 2021.
Images shared in the listing reveal a glimpse into the Doocy family’s life in the property, with two of the bedrooms still decorated as they were then the TV host’s daughters, Mary and Sally, were still living there, complete with large initial art over each of their beds.
The primary bathroom features a number of framed photos of the Doocy children, while other art in the dwelling includes a number of Americana designs, from a portrait of former President Abraham Lincoln to a painting of the Statue of Liberty.

Inside, the home features a wide open living room as well as a two-story great room with a fireplace, while the basement has been “partially finished” and could well serve as a future entertaining space.
Outside, there is a large deck that overlooks the lush lawn, which is ripe for a new family to make their own.
“Enjoy all this classic home has to offer with the gleaming hardwood floors and large rooms… Don’t miss this classic, updated, turn-key home! Come see!” the listing urges.
While walking away from the home where he raised his three children was undoubtedly a difficult decision, Doocy appears to be relishing his new life in Florida, where he has already interviewed Lara Trump at a golfing event in West Palm Beach, before grabbing a coffee with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy in Miami.
He has also found time to travel to a number of other locations, including Nashville, where he chatted with Kid Rock; and to Michigan, where he jammed with Ted Nugent.
The TV host, whose interviews are being aired as part of his new “Morning Walk” segments, also managed to squeeze in a visit to his son, Peter, and his wife, Hillary, who welcomed her second child in April, in Washington, D.C., where they all attended a Nationals game together.
“The Doocys of DC teamed up with Grandpa Steve at Nationals Park this morning on ‘Fox & Friends’ for a preview of tonight’s Congressional Baseball game,” he wrote on Instagram, while sharing a picture of himself posing with Peter, Hillary, and their two kids.

“After this—grandpa is buying brunch. I’ll expense it—they all appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ and it seems like a quasi-legit business deduction, right?”
When he announced his departure from his full-time role, Doocy noted that he was hoping to spend much more time with his family, admitting that his hosting duties had often forced him to miss out on bonding moments with his kids when they were growing up.
“When my kids were growing up, I never had breakfast with them. I was here. Kathy did everything, but starting tomorrow, I’m going to have breakfast with my grandkids and my children whenever I can,” he explained.
Doocy also revealed that AI had informed him that his alarm has gone off before dawn a total of 6,828 times, joking that he’s reached his limit as far as early-morning wakeups are concerned.
“That, ladies and gentlemen, is a lot of donuts. It’s a great job … but the hours suck,” he added.
As for his homebase in Florida, records indicate that he and his wife own a three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Jupiter dwelling that was last sold in 2014 for $1 million—having been on the market for just one month.
