‘Heartland’ actor Robert Cormier dies at age 33
Cormier, who appeared in “Designated Survivor” and “Slasher,” died Friday in Ontario.

Canadian actor Robert Cormier, who appeared in the drama “Heartland” has died at age 33.
Cormier actor died Friday in Etobicoke, Ontario, according to hisĀ obituary. He died in the hospital of injuries he sustained in a fall, his sister told his talent agentās office.
Cormier played Finn Cotter on “Heartland” and appeared in the TV show āDesignated Survivorā in 2016, the series āSlasherā in 2019 and āAmerican Godsā in 2021, according toĀ IMDb.
Cormierās sister Stephanie shared a family statement saying: āRobbie passed away as the result of a tragic accident.
āThe family of Robbie Cormier would like to thank everyone that has reached out for all their love and support,ā it said. āOur family would like to thank everyone at the Critical Care team in Toronto for their compassionate care they provided Robbie and the kindness they showed our family. We will be forever grateful.
āRobbie was loved by many and his unexpected death has left us devastated,ā the statement continued. āWhile we are broken-hearted, we take comfort in the overwhelming love and support shown to our family by Robbieās friends, colleagues and fans. Thank you.ā
“Heartland” shared aĀ tribute to CormierĀ on social media, calling him “a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons.”
āWe are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier,ā the statement said. “On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time.ā
UPtv, which airs the show, also paidĀ tributeĀ to Cormier, remembering him as āan amazing talent, gone too soon.ā
āWe are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family, and co-workers,ā the network said, sharing a photo of him and co-star Amber Marshall.
Cormier was described as an āathlete, an actor and a great brotherā in his obituary.
āHe had a passion for helping others and was always looking to achieve more. He enjoyed movie nights with his family, and looked up greatly to his father,” it said. “He impacted many people throughout his life whether it was family, teammates and friends.
“Robās memory will live on through his passion for art and film; as well as his three sisters who meant the world to him,” the obituary said.
