Hold Up — The Waterfront Season 2 Just Dropped and It’s Even DARKER Than Before! 🌊🔥
The Buckleys are back, and so are the secrets. Netflix just unleashed Season 2 of The Waterfront — and the new trailer? Twisted family betrayals, rising body counts, and one shocking return nobody predicted.

👇 Hit play to dive into the chaos — this coastal empire is crumbling fast.

A rivalry more dangerous than Duke vs. UNC just hit North Carolina.

Criminal families own the TV world right now. The Duttons run Montana in Yellowstone, the Harrigans control London in MobLand, and Dwight Manfredi lords over Oklahoma in Tulsa King. Well, what about North Carolina? That’s where the Buckleys step in.

In Netflix’s The Waterfront, the fishing-family patriarch turned drug kingpin Harlan Buckley (The Iron Claw’s Holt McCallany) attempts to stop his coastal empire—which resides in the fictional town of Havenport—from crumbling. The Buckleys find themselves in serious debt when the series begins. Even worse? The drug business is a bit harder to handle than the simple cash boon that the family thought it was. If you’re picturing a mix of Ozark and Outer Banks, you’re not too far off.

The Waterfront also stars Topher Grace (Home Economics) as a deranged drug dealer named Grady. His tenure on the series was sadly short-lived, but I’m sure the shadow of his villainy will loom over the family in potential seasons to come. For now, here’s everything we know about The Waterfront season 2.

Will The Waterfront Return for Season 2?

According to The Waterfront creator Kevin Williamson—yes, he’s also man behind the Scream franchise—plans for season 2 are already in the works. Netflix has yet to officially renew The Waterfront for a second season, but the season 1 finale set up multiple unfinished storylines to carry on as the series continues. Harlan suffers two heart attacks in season 1, and now his wife, Belle (Maria Bello), may destroy the family by selling everything they fought to create for themselves.
