Eerie final post from SNL writer’s sister made weeks AFTER she went missing as family’s frantic search continues

The sister of a Saturday Night Live writer sent out a cryptic message on social media – while her missing persons case is still ongoing.
Christina Lynn Downer, the sister of SNL writer Jimmy Fowlie, shared a strange Instagram post weeks after she was reported missing.

“Living life in peace. If you wanna send me a Christmas treat I’ll be waiting. Happy holidays everyone,” Downer posted on Instagram on December 14, alongside a photo of herself.
Fowlie, 40, said he last saw his sister on November 26.
Downer, 38, was last seen in the Koreatown neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to police.
She is described as 5’1 with black hair and brown eyes.
Downer’s missing-persons case remains active, the Los Angeles Police Department told The New York Post on Monday.
The same photo was posted to Downer’s Instagram story in June and saved as a highlight on her profile, sparking concern that the image may not reflect new activity on her account.
While it’s unclear if Downer or someone else posted the photo, Fowlie said he has been advised by police to not share details about the post publicly as to not compromise the investigation.
Fowlie also shared a plea to his Instagram followers for tips on Downer’s whereabouts.
“My sister is still missing. This is not like her, she’s never gone off the grid like this,” Fowlie wrote on Sunday.
Fowlie added that Downer is rarely seen without her dog, a miniature pinscher named Rex.
“If you see her, chances are he’d be with her,” he wrote.
Fowlie said that his family remains in close contact with police and will provide updates as they come in.
He began working at SNL as a staff writer in 2022 and has been credited on 52 episodes.
He’s also contributed to scripts for A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter and the TV series The Other Two.
Aside from writing, he has also acted in other comedy shows such as The Other Two, 2 Broke Girls, Search Party, and The Goldbergs.
