TV favourites Josie and Stephen were spotted holding hands while filming Saturday Night Takeaway over the weekend, causing fans to wonder if something romantic is going on
Josie Gibson has addressed speculation she has found romance with Stephen Mulhern.
The This Morning star and Dancing on Ice presenter were papped holding hands during filming for the final episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway over the weekend and it wasn’t long before the rumour mill started.
When asked if she was in a relationship with Stephen, Josie had a very tongue-in-cheek response.
She told MailOnline: “I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don’t think he loves me.”
Last year, the I’m A Celebrity star opened up about a new relationship but didn’t reveal her new love interest’s name.
“There is someone in my life at the moment, but it’s early stages,” she said.
“I’ve said I love you. It’s best to just get it out of the way, I don’t like playing games.”
Fans were convinced she had struck up a romance with This Morning cameraman Sam Morter, who she posted snaps with while working on a job in Paris.
But Josie later clarified: “I am not in a relationship, neither am I in love with camereman Sam. I am not with Sam Morter.
“I love Sam Morter, he is my work colleague, I’m like his older sister. I’m like his auntie. That’s as far as it goes.”
Josie’s first high profile romance was with reality TV star John James, whom she met in the Big Brother house in 2010. The pair dated for a year after she won the show.
She was previously engaged to plumber Luke Sanwo, but they split in 2015.
The TV favourite welcomed son Reggie with ex Terry Bond in 2018, but the couple parted ways just months after he was born.
Meanwhile, Catchphrase host Stephen prefers to keep details of his love life out of the public eye, but recently revealed he was single.
“Last time I went on a date was about four years ago,” he told Celebs Now.
“That makes me sound really sad! I need a life. I need to stop working so much.”
Stephen was previously in a relationship with EastEnders star Emma Barton after meeting on set of a pantomime, but they went their separate ways in 2011.
