Key Points
Julianne Moore revealed she and her husband Bart Freundlich are considering permanently moving to the U.K. from the U.S. while appearing on ‘Capital Breakfast’ on June 10, 2025.
This would make Moore the latest of Hollywood stars to relocate. The list includes Richard Gere, Ellen DeGeneres, and Eva Longoria.
Moore and Freundlich have two kids, Caleb and Liv. It’s unclear if they would also relocate.
The Hollywood exodus continues. On the heels of Richard Gere, Ellen DeGeneres, and Eva Longoria all bidding adieu to the United States in favor of homes abroad, Julianne Moore revealed she, too, has permanent relocation on the mind.
The Sirens star appeared on the broadcast radio show “Capital Breakfast” with her Echo Valley costar Sydney Sweeney to promote their new film. As they got to talking, host Chris Stark asked Moore, “Julianne, you’re a British citizen, is that right?”
To which, she answered, “Yeah, I have a passport. My mother was from Scotland, so I have a British passport,” surprising Sweeney, who added, “No way. I didn’t know that.”
“I know. It is cool, right?” Moore continued.
“So, what’s it like being back? Could you see yourself maybe coming and living here full-time?” Stark asked.

“I can actually, my husband and I have talked about that sometimes. It could be kind of fun. I’ve worked here a lot, and I’m really comfortable here. I’ve been working here, gosh, probably since the nineties,” Moore explained. “‘Once I was coming into the U.K. and somebody told me I was in the wrong line and I was like ‘no I’m not!”
The May December actress met her husband, director Bart Freundlich, in 1996, and welcomed a son, Caleb, in 1997, followed by a daughter, Liv, in 2002. The couple finally tied the knot in 2003.

The pair raised both of their kids in New York City; the two have since grown up and started their own careers. Caleb works as a film composer, songwriter, and alternative R&B artist under the name Caleb Moore, in addition to serving as an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology teaching the Music Production for Interactive and Animation Thesis course. He is currently engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kibriyaá Morgan.
Moore’s mini-me Liv has taken up modeling, making her debut at 13 years old in a J. Crew show and starring in a Bvlgari campaign for Harper’s Bazaar alongside her mom in 2022. It’s unclear if Caleb and Liv would also make the move across the pond.
