Keanu Reeves is giving fans some rare insight into his relationship with Alexandra Grant.

During an interview with PEOPLE, where he spoke alongside Gard Hollinger, the John Wick star reveals who is more creative between him and his girlfriend. While the actor is known for his creativity, he still didn’t miss an opportunity to put the spotlight on his other half.

“Alexandra,” Reeves answered quickly. “For sure.”

Reeves, 60, and Grant, 51, have been romantically linked since 2011 when they published the book Ode to Happiness together. The collaborative book features text by Reeves and illustrations by Grant, who officially made their debut as a couple years later in 2019.

The couple owns X Artists Books, a small imprint that they founded in 2017 that focuses on “thoughtful, high-quality, artist-centered books that fit within and between genres,” according to the company’s website. “Our books are works of art; portals to imagined worlds; treasured companions; the fabric of a community.”

Back in 2023, Grant, who is a prolific visual artist in her own right, told PEOPLE about Reeves’ positive impact on her.

“I had a studio visit a few years ago, and this very kind, very high-level person said, ‘I can see that your work has gotten happier,’” she recalled Reeves telling her. “That’s real. We’re all human beings. We’re animals. We’re expressing from where we are. I think the work is happier.”

“He’s such an inspiration to me,” she continued. “He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard.”

While Keanu doesn’t often speak about his relationship publicly, that feeling still appears to be mutual. A source told the outlet in March 2024 that the actor is “very happy” in their union. “This is the most fun and positive relationship that Keanu has ever been in,” the insider continued.

Reeves’ new show, Visionaries, came from his and Hollinger’s shared passion for motorcycles and their company ARCH Motorcycles, which was founded in 2011.

“What kind of came across through that was Gard’s vision, Gard’s way he creatively uses form and function to the aesthetics, to the practicalities,” Keanu tells PEOPLE. “And as the years have gone by, we had this opportunity to share that, or go into a show, to look into creativity and form and function aesthetics and that’s what visionary is, to me, through this ARCH lens, which is Gard’s eye.”

“And we bring the audience along to meet these incredible artists, people,” he continues. “And learn about their life journey. Where does creativity happen? What are they doing? And we hope that, hopefully, the show will inspire people.”
