Live-Action Footage of Disney’s Snow White Shows How Bad Gal Gadot Is at Delivering Her Lines

Gal Gadot may look the part of the Evil Queen, but the Internet still doubts her skills. However, a new ‘Snow White’ clip might turn the tide.

The upcoming ‘Snow White’ has faced backlash like no other and even Gal Gadot’s acting skills came under the bus.
A newly released clip from the film showcases Gadot’s performance, potentially changing public perception.
Rachel Zegler has addressed the backlash, calling it “passion” for the original story.

No film has said “controversial” recently quite like the upcoming Snow White. The live-action re-telling of the popular Disney princess’ story hasn’t even hit theatres yet, and it is easily one of the most controversial films of all time. Starring Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, Snow White intends to tell a story free of age-old stereotypes and show a princess who is a fair and just leader, giving ‘Who’s the fairest of them all?’ a new meaning. Marc Webb’s film will be hitting the theatres in only a few days, and we will finally find out how things end up for it. Will it surprise us, or will it leave the theatres head hung?

Playing the role of the evil stepmother, Gal Gadot has been getting a ton of hate online from people who just cannot stand her acting. From Reddit threads to discussions on X, cinema enthusiasts believe that delivering dialogues isn’t her forte. However, a new clip from the film just might change your mind.

Is Gal Gadot proving haters wrong in Snow White?

A new exclusive clip from Snow White was recently dropped online and fans sure have their opinions ready to go. The scene features Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler conversing at the dining table.

During the discussion, Snow White asks her stepmother to do something kind for the people of the kingdom – bake them apple pies – as an uplifting gesture. She recalls doing so with her parents when the Queen interrupts her, dismissing her idea.

When Snow White argues back, Gadot’s character looks her dead in the eyes and says, “I really don’t remember you being this…opinionated. Check out the entire scene below:

Gadot’s acting skills have been questioned by fans for a long time now. From stiff dialogue delivery to dead expressions, the audience has not been happy with it all.

While you can hate the film all you want, you have got to agree that Gadot’s acting, at least in this particular scene, was quite on mark. A cruel Queen indifferent to her people’s well-being, she really nailed the dialogues here.

Rachel Zegler opens up about the backlash

If you’ve spent some of your time surfing through social media, you are probably well aware of the hate campaign against Snow White. From Zegler bashing the prince’s arc from the original to the reimagining of the Seven Dwarves, there is absolutely nothing people like about the film.

The hate is so strong that it makes you wonder why Disney is even bothering with the release. Of course, the lead actress is not oblivious to the public opinion. However, she would rather call it “passion” rather than hate. Passion for the original story.

During a conversation with Vogue Mexico (translated by Variety), Zegler stated that it is her honor to be a part of something people feel so passionately about. Even if not everyone is on the same page as her. In her words,

I interpret people’s sentiments towards this film as passion. What an honor to be a part of something that people feel so passionately about. We’re not always going to agree with everyone who surrounds us and all we can do is our best.

Well, we call it what we want, but people are really not happy with how Snow White has been looking so far. We won’t be surprised if it doesn’t break even at the box office, especially thanks to the budget being somewhere between $240 million to $269 million.

Snow White will be released in theatres on March 21.
