Liverpool just confirmed the shirt numbers for all 7 of their summer signings đź”´âš˝
But it’s the hidden detail in that announcement that’s blowing up — a subtle clue pointing straight to Alexander Isak. 👀
One number missing. One gap too obvious. And fans are convinced it’s not an accident.

Arne Slot’s side will get their title defence underway against Bournemouth on August 15 with several new faces available for selection.
Liverpool have officially confirmed their squad numbers ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Arne Slot’s side come into the campaign as champions and will look to open their title defence with a win over Bournemouth in the Premier League curtain raiser at Anfield on August 15.
And it has been a summer of change for the red side of Merseyside. Liverpool have spent £269m on transfers, with Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike, and Armin Pecsi having joined. Freddie Woodman and Giorgi Mamardashvili also arrived and will now provide back up to Alisson.
The Reds are currently well into their pre-season preparations and beat Japanese side Yokohama FM 3-1 thanks to strikes from Wirtz, Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha last time out.
Liverpool will return to action against Athletic Club on August 4 with two friendlies scheduled for the same day at Anfield before they travel to Wembley for the FA Community Shield against Crystal Palace on August 10.
And fans are still wondering whether transfer target Alexander Isak will play a part in the upcoming fixtures, given the strong links with a move from Newcastle United.

On Thursday, journalist Florian Plettenberg issued an update on the saga via X.
He wrote: “Talks between Newcastle and Liverpool over Alexander Isak are progressing well. The player’s camp are very positive about the situation. Isak is hopeful that an agreement between the clubs can be reached. A record bid will be needed.
“A verbal agreement in principle over a contract running until 2031 has been reached with Liverpool, as reported yesterday.”
On Friday morning, Liverpool confirmed their squad numbers for the 2025/26 campaign.
Liverpool wrote in a statement: “Liverpool’s squad numbers for the 2025-26 season have been confirmed.
“The seven arrivals to the club this summer have selected their numbers, while Conor Bradley and Trey Nyoni have opted to change.
“Florian Wirtz has taken the No.7 shirt, made vacant by the departure of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

“Milos Kerkez is the Reds’ new No.6 and Jeremie Frimpong has chosen No.30, the number he had at previous club Bayer Leverkusen. Hugo Ekitike will wear the No.22 jersey.
“In the goalkeeping department, Giorgi Mamardashvili is No.25, Freddie Woodman No.28 and Armin Pecsi No.41.
“Meanwhile, Bradley has switched from No.84 to No.12 and Nyoni from No.98 to No.42.”
So, which number would Isak wear if he were to join Liverpool?
Currently, he wears 14 at Newcastle having previously worn 19 during his time at former club Real Sociedad.
So, if he wants to retain his favoured number 14, current holder Federico Chiesa may have to find another number or move on from the club.
The winger has been linked with a return to his native Italy following a disappointing first season in England.
Meanwhile, if Isak prefers 19, Harvey Elliott may be forced to give up his squad number. He, too, has been linked with a potential move from Anfield this summer. Number 12 is also vacant.
