The Game on Why He Feels Machine Gun Kelly Won Eminem Rap Battle
Machine Gun Kelly and Eminem beef in 2018 after Em dissed MGK on his ‘Kamikaze’ album cut, “Not Alike.”
Eminem and Machine Gun Kellyâs feud last year was a hard one to call. However, it looks like The Game saw a clear winner.
During an interview on Real 92.3 LA, the rapper revealed that he believes MGK won. âEm did what I expected Em to do, but nothing to catch up into where hip-hop is today,â Game said at around the 15:35 mark. âI feel like Machine Gun Kelly really gave his all, like a young, hungry dude did. Eminem was Eminemâit was great. Before I heard Machine Gun Kelly, I was like, âOh Eminem.ââ
Last August, Em dropped his surprise album Kamikaze, where he attacked MGK (and several others) on the song âNot Alike.â This led MGK to mock Emâs Rap God pseudonym and release the diss track âRap Devil.â Kellyâs diss apparently lit a fire in Em, as he quickly shot back with his own retort, âKill Shot.â
But it was difficult to determine who was the victor. Many thought âRap Devilâ was a more entertaining track, but Emâs âKill Shotâ made YouTube history when it premiered with the most debut views for a rap video.
In the interview, Game also discussed how he made 600 songs for his latest album, Born 2 Rap, Dr. Dre mixed the song âWelcome Homeâ with Nipsey Hussle, and more.
