New Video Appears to Show Missing Texas Teen Before Disappearance: Watch
Nineteen-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos vanished on Christmas Eve, and law enforcement have released dashcam footage they believe captures her on the morning of her disappearance. The search is on for a Texas teen who went missing on Christmas Eve, and newly released dashcam footage may shed light on the morning of her disappearance.
The video, which was captured by a driver on Dec. 24 and released by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 29, shows a person believed to be 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos walking north on Wildhorse Parkway near her San Antonio home around 7 a.m.
“At present, I’m not able to say with 100 percent certainty that this is [Camila],” Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar shared in a Dec. 29 press conference, “but the clothing description on the pedestrian certainly does match up with what she was wearing at the time. We’re sharing that video with you all in hopes that somebody may have collected similar video.”

Prior to the release of the 7 a.m. dashcam video, Camila was last believed to be seen outside her home in footage recorded from a neighbor’s doorbell camera at 6:58 a.m.
“Video footage from that time shows an unknown individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle for an unidentified item,” the sheriff’s office shared in a Dec. 24 statement, adding that the clip ended before her next move could be seen. Her car was left at her home, leading authorities to believe that she left on foot.
“Camila’s mother stated that Camila normally goes for a morning walk,” the sheriff’s department noted, “however, she became concerned when Camila did not return within a reasonable period of time.”
The teen was last seen wearing a black and baby blue hoodie, baby blue pajama bottoms and white shoes, according to the sheriff’s office. “We’ve got to consider all possibilities,” the sheriff shared at the Dec. 29 press conference, “from disappearing willfully, to the possibility of self-harm, to somebody may have taken her––maybe after this video, somebody may have taken her. So, we’ve got to consider all possibilities at this point. Unfortunately, we can’t narrow it down until evidence takes us to that.”
“A lot of things can happen to a young person in a matter of hours,” he added, “so the fact that we’re five days out and counting is certainly cause for concern. A lot of things can happen to this young lady. That’s why it’s incumbent on us––on this community––to come together with the objective of bringing her back to her family sooner rather than later.”
