Warning: Spoilers for Season 3 Ahead — Read at Your Own Risk!

If there’s one thing the Ginny & Georgia writers have mastered (besides keeping us emotionally unwell), it’s the art of the cliffhanger. Season 3 of the hit Netflix drama didn’t hold back, diving into Georgia’s courtroom chaos, betrayals, and a whole lot of drama that left fans spiraling. The show, which follows the complicated relationship between mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) and daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry), also continues to juggle a full cast of love interests — Marcus, Paul, Zion, Joe — the usual suspects.

But after *that* ending, everyone’s asking the same question: is this *actually* the end?

Has Season 4 Been Confirmed?

Breathe easy — yes, Ginny & Georgia has been renewed through season 4. Netflix made that call back in early 2023, just two months after season 2 dropped. So don’t worry, it’s not over yet!

When Will Season 4 Drop?

While there’s no official release date, all signs point to a late 2026 or early 2027 premiere. The writers confirmed via Instagram back in February 2025 that they’re already working on scripts — so fingers crossed that the wait isn’t too long.

What Happened in Season 3?

Spoiler alert (seriously)! According to showrunner Sarah Lampert, season 3 was all about testing Georgia in a major way. “For season 3, the question I asked is, ‘What would it take to break Georgia?’” she told Deadline. “And I mean that coming from a place of love for Georgia, because I think she needs to break to build.”

That emotional unraveling sets the stage for season 4 — including the mystery of who fathered Georgia’s baby. And plot twist: not even the writers have settled on that. “I know whose baby she’s carrying,” Sarah said. “But I went into the writer’s room this season and I said, ‘Here’s who the daddy is.’ Changed my mind. So it’s live wire in there. I’m telling you right now, I am open to being convinced otherwise.”

Oh, and Austin? Yeah… he’s not doing great. “Poor Austin, he comes out of season 3, out of everyone, probably the worst off,” Sarah added, referring to his role in the Tom Fuller case.

As for whether the story could stretch beyond a fourth season? Never say never. “I always thought it would end at season 4,” Sarah said. “But what we’re finding in the writers room… there’s actually more there. It would almost feel rushed to get to that ending in four.”

Does this mean there could be a season 5? Fingers crossed!
