Currently, Sirens is holding an approval rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. This comes as the show makes is debut on Netflix on May 22. With the series still brand new, not enough audience reviews have yet been submitted to come up with a score on the Popcornmeter. The majority of the critics who’ve watched the series, however, are giving it some high marks in their reviews. Though Alcock is joined in the series by talents like Julianne Moore and Meghann Fahy, it’s the future Supergirl who stole the show for some critics.

“Among the three actresses, who are the highlight of the series, Alcock is the surprise standout of Sirens, displaying Simone’s wide range of emotion and hidden depths,” Collider critic Therese Lacson said of the series.
RogerEbert.com reviewer Kaiya Shunyata also said, “If Moore haunts every frame like a ghost, Alcock whizzes through each scene like a fevered apparition.”
…it’s the cast who really make this show a real treat to watch.
“Sirens on Netflix digs at something deeper than just cults and what comes out may leave you deeply moved in the end,” reads another review by LeisureByte.com’s Archi Sengupta.
The series is created by Molly Smith Metzler, and it is based on her original play Elemeno Pea. It is set during one weekend at a lavish beach estate, and it focuses on Devon (Fahy) deciding to intervene when she grows concerned about the odd relationship between her sister, Simone (Alcock), and her billionaire boss, Michaela (Moore). The series also stars Kevin Bacon (Friday the 13th) and Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
