Rachel Sennott was misnamed on the Oscars red carpet as she was confused for fellow actress Rachel Zegler. She took a moment to laugh at the mishap
Rachel Sennott was mistakenly identified as Rachel Zegler at the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday night.
Both actresses were present at the event, with Sennott dazzling in a pink sequin dress and Zegler stunning in a semi-transparent cream Dior gown, reminiscent of her recent role in Snow White.
Sennott, a comedy writer-actor who recently penned an upcoming HBO series, was simply invited to the Oscars, while Zegler was there to present.

Upon seeing herself misnamed on the big screen inside the Dolby Theatre, Sennott humorously posted it on her Instagram, tagging Zegler and including a laughing sobbing emoji.
Zegler responded by reposting Sennott’s story, pointing out that they both share the same middle name — Anne.
Sennott, known for her roles in Bottoms, Saturday Night and Bodies Bodies Bodies, co-hosted the nominations announcement with SNL and Wicked star Bowen Yang earlier this year.

“We were delirious,” Sennott exclaimed to Etalk on the red carpet, recalling the nominations reveal. “It was like a midnight glam call, and then we started at like 5 a.m. So, by the time we were doing it, I was … like, do you know when you’ve had a sleepover for too long, and you’re like, ‘Ah!’ – everything’s funny? That was kind of the vibe by the end, but I think people had fun with us.”
Meanwhile, Zegler, of The Hunger Games and West Side Story, was all set to co-present with her Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs co-star, Gal Gadot, the Irish Star reported.
In the upcoming film, Zegler stars as the iconic Snow White, while Gadot takes on the role of the nefarious evil queen.
