Husband of Tipp City woman killed in apparent burglary arrested, charged
The husband of the Tipp City woman killed earlier this week in an apparent burglary has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder.
Caleb Flynn, 39, has been charged with one count of homicide in the death of Ashley Flynn, 37, Monday morning.
He also faces two counts of felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence.
Law enforcement was sent to the home in the 900 block of Cunningham Court around 2:30 a.m. Monday, on a report of a burglary and shooting.
The responding officers were met at the home by an adult male, later identified as Caleb Flynn, and their two children. They located the woman identified as Ashley Flynn, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Murder leaves Miami County community on edge

The Tipp City community has been on edge since Monday morning’s murder.
On Wednesday, Tipp City Police Chief Greg Adkins said that investigations up to that point had led them to believe it was a targeted attack and not a random home invasion.
Adkins said at the time that the investigation was complex.
“Without getting into the details of it, there is a lot of, a lot of moving parts and a lot of stuff that is related to this,” he said.
The community has rallied around the Flynn family since Ashley’s death, with prayer-adorned ribbons on light poles along Main Street.
“I just want family to know that we’re praying for them and that, you know, they’re in our prayers,” said Jason Pierce, owner of Red Devil Pizza & Deli.
Red Devil Pizza & Deli, a local restaurant, announced a fundraiser this weekend, with a portion of all sales Friday through Sunday going to the family.
In announcing the arrest, Adkins thanked the other agencies that assisted with the investigation, including the FBI, the Ohio BCI, and the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

“These individuals have spent countless hours utilizing numerous resources to bring the
investigation to this point,” he said. “Their work is not complete, and they will continue to pursue this case with integrity and dedication as it proceeds through the court process.
“Investigations of this magnitude are especially challenging for agencies with limited staffing, and the support of these dedicated partners was essential.”
Adkins said that further updates on the case will be handled by the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office.
