Lee was concerned about making this look convincing since he is right-handed, and the switch-up is meant to make it more challenging for the Front Man to complete the spinning top competition in a timely manner. It will be intriguing to see if Gi-hun can look back on what happened and figure out the truth about the Front Man or if the villain will decide to unmask himself in Squid Game season 3.
The Front Man wants more time to play the games and to pull Gi-hun’s strings. Since Gi-hun and his teammates are fearing for their lives, they are too preoccupied to notice that the Front Man suddenly switches hands. Their fear that transforms into elation supersedes noticing this kind of detail and helps keep one of Squid Game season 2’s biggest plot twists alive. It will be intriguing to see if Gi-hun can look back on what happened and figure out the truth about the Front Man or if the villain will decide to unmask himself in Squid Game season 3.
