Stephen Mulhern has been a regular face on our TV screens for almost 30 years, but the presenter tends to keep his private life out of the spotlight.
Stephen Mulhern, the well-known ITV host of hit shows such as In For A Penny, Catchphrase and Dancing on Ice, is quite private about his personal life.
Kicking off his career nearly 30 years ago at CITV with kids’ programmes Finger Tips and Tricky TV, Stephen worked alongside Holly Willoughby on the popular children’s show, Holly and Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.
While we don’t know much about his small display of affection, Stephen cheekily referred to his lack of bedroom action back in 2020. On being asked by The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine about how often he had sex, he simply replied: “Not enough.”
He further revealed that his first kiss was with “a girl named Kristen” and his sister Suzie is the love of his life, prompting him to question if this made him “weird”.
In recent news, it was widely shared that Stephen had a fleeting relationship with EastEnders actress Emma Barton, who embodies Honey Mitchell in the BBC soap.
The two reportedly became an item after meeting during a panto production of Snow White, from 2008 to 2011, where Stephen played her humorous best mate, Muddles, reports the Daily Star.
It seems their stage time only brought them closer together.
Like many celebs, they kept their love life out of the spotlight and were a couple for three years before breaking up in 2011. Stephen later said their romance just naturally ended.

In 2018, he mentioned that being busy with work makes finding love tough. Stephen once smooched his pal Holly when they hosted Saturday Showdown on CITV.
On a Christmas special of Saturday Showdown, Stephen gave Holly an elf hat with mistletoe.
Holly was thrilled and exclaimed: “Hurray for me! I can kiss all of the boys in the world all of the time,” and then sang: “Tis the season to kiss Holly, fa la la la la la la la la!”

When Stephen tried to kiss her, Holly said: “No! Stephen, you don’t count! ” He asked, “What do you mean, I don’t count? Whoever you are under the mistletoe with you must kiss.”
After stealing another kiss, Holly joked: “Don’t wear my lips out, I am going to be kissing Anthony from Blue soon.”
Stephen kissed Holly three more times on the show, which made her take off her hat and tell him: “You are definitely on the naughty list! “.
Stephen is appearing on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway this evening on ITV and ITVX.
