SULLIVAN’S CROSSING SEASON 4 — First-look photos are out, and creator Roma Roth promises exciting and emotional challenges for Maggie and Cal
The upcoming season is set to dive deeper into their journey, with love, heartbreak, and small-town drama reaching new heights. Fans can expect twists that will keep hearts racing and emotions on edge. 🏞️💫

EXCLUSIVE: Production has officially begun on Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing, and Deadline has an exclusive first look at what’s happening on the Nova Scotia set.
A photo of Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray and Marcus Rosner teases a brewing love triangle between their characters after the Season 3 cliffhanger in which Rosner’s Liam revealed himself as Maggie’s (Kohan) husband.
Obviously, Cal (Murray) was not pleased to learn this information — but the snapshot from set seems to be hinting that, at least at first, Cal will still be a doting partner to Maggie as he’s staring pretty lovingly at her. We get the sense Cal will definitely need to watch out for Liam, though, as he lingers behind Maggie staring at Cal with a furrowed brow.
Deadline also has individual shots of Maggie and Cal as well as a shot of the film slate, which are embedded below.

“I am beyond proud to be going back for Season 4 with such an amazing cast and crew,” Kohan said in a statement Thursday. ”It’s been absolutely incredible to see the organic growth of our show throughout our first three seasons. We’ve had such a beautiful audience base in Canada and it’s been so exciting to see that expand in such a huge way internationally. Season 4 truly feels like our best yet and I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”
Added Murray: “We’re so happy returning to our Sullivan’s family and these wonderful characters. There’s always an excitement in being back on set and I’m proud of how far the show has come; not only here in Canada, but around the world. It’s amazing to be part of something that resonates with people in such a meaningful way.”

Sullivan’s Crossing recently struck gold on Netflix, raking in 22M hours watched to become the third most-watched series on the streamer in the week that it debuted. But, prior to its arrival on Netflix, the series had a first window in the U.S. on The CW, where it has also become a top three show on the network by both total audience and 18-49.
The series is not just a hit in the U.S., either. Airing on CTV and Crave in Canada, Season 3 was CTV’s most-watched Canadian scripted series of the 2024-25 broadcast year, per Canadian media data company Numeris. Internal data provided to Deadline also says that, on Crave, Season 3 was a consistent Top 20 program and saw 20% audience growth over Season 2.
Sullivan’s Crossing also marks yet another collaboration between author Robyn Carr, creator and showrunner Roma Roth, and executive producer Christopher E. Perry — the same team behind Netflix’s hit Virgin River.

The five-book series follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Kohan), who finds herself in legal trouble and returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia to reconnect with her estranged father (Scott Patterson), while figuring out her relationship with Cal (Murray). The series introduced Rosner’s Liam at the end of Season 3 as Maggie’s old summer fling who’d returned to seemingly stir up trouble. Ultimately, the season ends on a cliffhanger when he claims to be Maggie’s husband.
“I’m absolutely thrilled that Sullivan’s Crossing is returning for a fourth season,” Roth said in a statement of her own. “Seeing it resonate with a global audience and watching the ratings climb have been a dream come true. Season 4 will explore themes of change and transformation so you can expect a whole new set of exciting and emotional challenges for Maggie and Cal.”
Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing is executive produced by Reel World Management and Muse Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s CTV, The CW, and Fremantle. The series is distributed internationally by Fremantle.
