Saddle up for a new Western saga! Ransom Canyon starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly is coming to Netflix in April. The new romantic drama, created by April Blair (Wednesday, All American), is based on Jodi Thomas’ book series of the same name.
“It’s a contemporary Western romance show, just looking for more in this comfort romance space,” Netflix’s Jinny Howe previously told Deadline. “It’s a multi-generational family show set on a ranch, and we say it’s Virgin River meets Yellowstone. We think that it’s going to deliver on all the romance and again it will be a really beautiful vista and setting, very escapist.”

Minka Kelly as Quinn

James Brolin as Cap Fuller

Eoin Macken as Davis

“Unlike his counterpart Staten Kirkland, Davis is intent on capitalizing on the invaluable aquifer running below Ransom’s ranch land,” his official character description reads. “But this is far from the first issue that Staten and Davis have butted heads over. The two biggest landowners in Ransom, the Kirkland and Collins families have been feuding for generations. But passionate stances on the water pipeline aren’t the only thing Davis and Staten share—both have fallen hard for the beguiling Quinn O’Grady, lavender farmer and owner of the local dancehall in Ransom.”
Lizzy Greene as Lauren
Lizzy Greene plays Ransom Canyon’s head cheerleader. Her boyfriend is the star QB, her father is the town sheriff—and, well, she’s not exactly happy or satisfied.
Marianly Tejada (One of Us Is Lying), Jack Schumacher (Top Gun: Maverick), Garrett Wareing (Manifest) and Andrew Liner (Vampire Academy) will star as series regulars.
Guest stars include Brett Cullen (Winning Time), Kate Burton (Grey’s Anatomy), Jaren Robledo (Rez Ball), Jennifer Ens (Chapelwaite), Kenneth Miller (The Cleaning Lady), Niko Guardado, Justin Johnson Cortez and Casey W. Johnson. Philip Winchester (Strike Back).
