The son of the producer of the movie SNOW WHITE just ACCUSED Rachel Zegler of CRIMES, making Gal Gadot beg

SNOW WHITE producer Marc Platt’s son, Jonah Platt, credits the movie’s lackluster debut to actress Rachel Zegler’s public behavior.

Variety announced on Tuesday that Marc, by Disney’s request, flew to New York in August to request that the Snow White actress remove a “free Palestine” comment that she posted on X while thanking fans for viewing SNOW WHITE’s trailer.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, someone commented that Marc was “creepy as hell,” and his response to the post was “uncalled for.”

Jonah jumped to defend his father: “You really want to do this? Yeah, my dad, the producer of enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20 year old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicity for.”

“This is called adult responsibility and accountability. And her actions clearly hurt the film’s box office. Free speech does not mean you’re allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions,” he said.

He noted that the movie employed “tens of thousands,” and she didn’t consider that when she took the actions she did.

“She hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful,” he continued. “Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged.”

Zegler has come under fire for several other comments she made in connection the movie, which didn’t help her or the film’s reputation. After Marc spoke with her, Zegler agreed to work with a social media specialist, paid by Disney, who approved subsequent posts that she made up to the movie’s release date this month, per The Independent.

On March 11 on Jonah’s podcast, Jonah asked Marc how he handles stars making political statements.

“No decent human being wants any suffering in humanity from decent people,” the producer explained. “What happens in instances is individuals ascribe their names to something, where they are not being completely informed, and the messaging to them is, ‘There is suffering here…The message doesn’t include, ‘There is also suffering over here.’ Or, ‘There is suffering that was prompted, or instigated, by an act of terror, or an act of evil.’…So my way of dealing with it is — when the moment is right — to have that conversation, where it can be heard and not in the midst of anger. And I feel good about those conversations that I’ve been having.”

SNOW WHITE cost $270 million to make and was projected to clear $100 million in its first week. It failed to meet expectations and reached just $87.3 million.
