Alison Hammond has revealed on-air that even when she feigned pregnancy, she could not get a seat on the train. She made the hilarious confession while chatting with co-host Dermot O’Leary and show regular Gyles Brandreth during Friday’s episode of ITV’s This Morning.
As Gyles recounted how people would graciously offer up their seats for him on public transport, Alison admitted that she could only dream of such a gesture.
Playfully holding her tummy as if she were sporting a baby bump, she joked: “I can’t wait for it to happen to me. They never offer me a seat, I’ll be standing there for ages. Pretend to look pregnant and they are still not moving!”

The presenter then explained: “I am standing there for ages and my feet are killing me! ” before suggesting that she might not be offered a seat due to half of her ‘big butt’ consuming too much space!
But co-host Dermot was quick to disagree, insisting everyone would be more than happy to share a commute with the Brummy start.
And fans were clearly buzzing to see the duo take over as hosts on Friday’s This Morning. One fan tweeted, “I’m so glad it’s Dermot n Alison they are a laugh from start to finish so just in case the producers read Twitter like it said in newspaper, yr ratings will plummet if u dnt gt someone like these 2 to take over show,”.

Another wrote, “My fave duo is back,” and added, “And Alison is looking amazing.”, reports the Daily Star. A third viewer commented, “Glad these two are on… happy vibes..”
But not everyone was as impressed with the fun and games, after Alison and Dermot made their entrance dancing into the ITV studio. One disgruntled viewer took to Twitter to vent, “Oh for f**** sake, f*** off with your f****** dancing, all the f****** time..”
