Netflix viewers are surprised about one cast member

Ginny and Georgia fans have been left surprised by one of the cast members on the Netflix series in a big departure from their onscreen character.

Brianne Howey, who plays Southern belle Georgia in the drama, has left many viewers speechless in a recent interview when she spoke with her real-life accent.

The 36-year-old actress hails from California and sounds very different to her on-screen alter-ego, who was born in Birmingham, Alabama and speaks with a strong Southern accent.

Appearing recently on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she teased the third season but many people were amazed by her real accent.

One person posted on YouTube: “I keep forgetting she doesn’t actually have a southern accent like in the show.”

A second said: “First time hearing her off the show , she doesnt have a texan accent … now thats a good actress [sic].”

Someone else echoed: “Never heard her without the accent. Always amazes me how ppl can turn an accent on & off. Just like the guy from All American.”

Season four of the comedy-drama is already the works after Netflix previously gave Ginny & Georgia are double renewal after season two.

Howey has already suggested Georgia will be trying to turn over a new leaf after her dodgy dealings have caused her children to start following a similar path.

However, Georgia’s past is going to catch up with her after her father Shane Reilly contacted her in the season three finale to warn her about her mother and stepfather.

Thrown into the mix, Georgia was confirmed to be pregnant at the end of the season, which will added another layer of complexity.

“Sarah has some incredible things planned, and I can’t wait to see more about the circumstances that shaped Georgia,” Howey teased to Tudum.
