Virgin River season 6 isn’t even out on Netflix yet, but we just got some incredible news about the show’s future.
Ahead of the newest installment dropping December 19, folks got the best surprise from our favorite Virgin River townspeople. In a short video uploaded on Virgin River‘s official Instagram on October 23, folks watched the cast — including Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Sarah Dugdale, Kai Bradbury and others — reveal that the hit series will be returning for season 7.
“Good news, Virgin River is confirmed to come back for Season 7!” read the official caption. “More love, drama, and small-town charm coming your way. You’re very welcome ❤️.”
Naturally, fans couldn’t hold back their elation.
“Best news ever!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “I hope this show never ends. It’s like an annual treat ❤️,” another declared. “Yay! I could watch Virgin River for twenty seasons no joke. 😂 please keep em coming!” a different follower added.
What’s more, Alexandra quickly spoke out shortly after the news broke. Reposting the video on her Instagram, she couldn’t help but share her excitement.
“It continues!!! VR season 7 is officially happening 💜,” she affectionately commented.
As fans may be aware, Virgin River will have a lot of celebrations happening in season 6. As Jack and Mel plan to finally tie the knot, folks will also get to see Denny and Lizzie embrace first-time parenthood while navigating Lizzie’s pregnancy. And in typical Virgin River fashion, we cannot wait to see heartwarming moments from Hope, Doc Mullins and the Sewing Circle!
