[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Ginny & Georgia Season 3.]
Just when you think Ginny & Georgia couldn’t get any wilder, it does.
Seasons 1 and 2 were far from tame, but its latest installment took it to a whole new level. Season 3 chronicles Georgia’s (Brianne Howey) murder trial from start to finish, ending with the guilty matriarch walking away scot-free. Ginny (Antonia Gentry) orchestrates it by having her little brother lie on the stand. Before that, Ginny has an abortion. Max (Sara Waisglass) spirals as she’s shut out by her friends. Marcus (Felix Mallard) develops a drinking problem and goes to rehab. (We could go on, but we think you get the idea.)
Predictably, Georgia’s love life saw just as many twists and turns. Though Mayor Paul (Scott Porter) starts the season as her dutiful husband, he ultimately decides he’s had enough of the “Mayoress Murderess” — but not before the two sleep together. Georgia tries to reel him back in by faking a pregnancy, using Ginny’s positive test. When she fesses up to her deception, Paul (understandably) files for divorce.
Once Paul’s out of the picture, Georgia finds comfort in café owner Joe (Raymond Ablack), who overlooks her criminal past. Ever since we learned that the two first met as teenagers, we’ve been waiting for Joe and Georgia’s slow burn to become a full-blown inferno — and it does! Thinking she’ll receive a guilty verdict, Georgia’s about to make a run for it when Joe winds up on her doorstep. They give into their feelings for each other and passionately hook up.
Of course, because it’s Ginny & Georgia, we had to get one more twist at the very end. Georgia discovers that she is, in fact, pregnant. The father, however, is a total mystery. It’s a 50-50 toss up between Paul and Joe.
“I want it to be me,” Ablack told Swooon in an interview. “I don’t think there’s anything that could impede Joe from his love for Georgia, but [Paul being the father] would be just another block,” he said.
As we eagerly await Season 4 — Ginny & Georgia has already been renewed — who do you think is the father of Georgia’s baby? Let us know in the poll below!
