EXCLUSIVE: Kitty’s Korean adventure will continue. Netflix has renewed its popular YA comedy series XO, Kitty for a third season. Naturally, with romance front and center in the spinoff from the hit To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film franchise, Anna Cathcart, who plays Kitty, got the renewal news on Valentine’s Day. (You can watch the video below.) It came less than a month after the Jan. 16 Season 2 release.
In her reaction to the pickup, XO, Kitty showrunner, executive producer and writer Jessica O’Toole hints at how the show will handle the Season 2 cliffhanger, which had Kitty spontaneously joining Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee ) for a summer tour with his father and brother. Season 1 and 2 chronicled Kitty’s time at KISS during the two semesters of her junior year. Season 3 is expected to do the same, focusing on her third semester at the Seoul school — after a short detour.
“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” O’Toole said. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode – not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.”
Season 2 of XO, Kitty debuted at #2 on the English TV List with 14.2 million views, which actually edged Netflix drama hit The Night Agent‘s Season 2 opening the following week (13.9M). The premiere of XO, Kitty‘s second season also brought back in the Top 10 Season 1 at No. 5 with 3.8 million views, with the original 2018 To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, reappearing at No. 6 on the English films list (3.1 million views) the week after.

In Season 2 of XO, Kitty, produced by Awesomeness Studios and ACE Entertainment, teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for a new semester at KISS. Single for the first time in a long time, she is ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama — and some casual dating. But a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change.
