Besides getting amazing advice from Reba McEntire, Asher HaVon dazzled on the stage of The Voice as he eventually won season 25. Since winning the competition back in May, the singer explored his career in the music industry. Releasing songs and continuing to perform, HaVon always takes time to keep his fans updated on what the future holds for him. Recently, the singer posted a video showing him preparing to take the stage at the HRC National Dinner.

Sharing a video on his Instagram page, HaVon gently walked around the stage as he made sure the sound system complimented his voice, belting out a rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” He captioned the post, writing, “Sound check at the HRC National Dinner here in D.C..Tomorrow night thousands of people will fill this room and love will fill the air.”
According to the event website, “This will be a weekend to remember, from an evening of celebration and inspiration at our National Dinner, to the Equality Convention, a destination for trailblazers in politics, culture, and business who are igniting change and driving LGBTQ+ equality forward.” The event kicked off on September 5th and will run until September 8th.
Fans Liken Asher HaVon to Luther Vandross
As for the Human Rights Campaign, the organization defined itself as spending more than 40 years fighting for equality. “Our goal is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, and particularly those of us who are trans, people of color and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement, across our country and around the world.”
With a weekend full of love and celebration, fans already started to shower HaVon with praise over just his sound check, with some even going as far as to claim he’s “today’s Luther Vandross!”
More comments included, “You are so amazing! I was so happy when you won The Voice! I hope you fill the biggest venues in the world!” Another comment added, “You sound amazing Asher. When you sing your voice conveys such deep emotions. Love from your forever fan in Pensacola.” And one person concluded, “Your voice is absolutely brilliant you look beautiful Asher. so excited about you bringing out your own music soon. Enjoy every moment you deserve this it’s only the start you will fill stadiums. love you 🇦🇺.”
