Justine Lupe had her own little secret while filming Netflix’s hit new show Nobody Wants This.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, the actress, 35, revealed on Instagram that she was over five months pregnant while filming the series that stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. The new mom shared that she not only hid her baby news from viewers, but she even tried to hide her pregnancy from the show’s cast and crew.
“Nobody Wants This is out on @netflix today! This show carried me through my first 5+ months of pregnancy with so much warmth,” Lupe revealed in her caption.

She continued to share her gratitude for “having a fully pregnant showrunner in @erinfoster, a relentless champion for motherhood in @kristenanniebell, a DP in @adrianpengcorreia who knows how to work the s— out of camera to make me look, well, not pregnant.”
Lupe then revealed the hilarious story of how her cast and crew discovered that she was expecting, writing, “And a cast and crew who supported me from the moment my Gucci skirt ripped open in both the front and backsides on set at 2am when they had no idea I was pregnant and thought I was just rapidly falling apart…”
“I had so much fun with this show and with Morgan in particular. I hope you have fun with it too! ♥️,” she added.
Her post contained a variety of behind-the-scenes snaps from the filming of the show, including a sweet photo of Lupe with costars Bell and Jackie Tohn.
In one cute video, Lupe can be seen posing with her baby bump on display in a white tank top and low-rise sweatpants during a photo shoot. She showed off her bare bump in another picture of herself posing in a mirror, lifting her shirt and giving a peace sign.
This isn’t the first time Lupe has gotten candid about the mishaps that occurred on set. On Sept. 28, she opened up about another embarrassing moment she endured that put production on pause during a joint interview with costars Timothy Simons and Tohn.
“I was on set. I had to take a 10-2, which was going to the bathroom, number two,” she recalled to Bustle in a TikTok video posted by the outlet.
While using the facilities, Lupe said she was interrupted when production “knocked on my door” and “I instinctively, like a reflex, stood, then like wiped and realized that a piece of poop had fallen into my dress.”
Through bursts of laughter, the actress tried to continue her story as Tohn hilariously attempted to crawl behind Simons after her admission.
“I put the dress on without knowing it was in there and I smeared poop all over my back,” Lupe added. “While I was shooting a show, and then they had to wash the dress while everybody waited.”
