The comedy series debuted last month.

Netflix’s Nobody Wants This has been renewed for season 2, though will be getting one big change behind the scenes.

The comedy series, which stars Kristen Bell as an agnostic podcast host who begins an unlikely relationship with a rabbi (Adam Brody), debuted on the streaming platform a few weeks ago.

It has since become a big hit with critics and viewers, and it has now been confirmed that Joanne and Noah’s story will continue.

However, the series will be getting new showrunners for the second season, with Girls’ Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan taking over and heading the writers’ room for the new episodes.

Creator Erin Foster, who remains on the show as an executive producer, said of the renewal: “Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me.

“The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.

“I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls… Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”

Konner added it was a “dream” to be working on the show, while Kaplan said he was “excited beyond belief” to be involved.

In Digital Spy’s review of season 1, we said: “In a genre littered with boombox moments and a tendency towards sacrificing too much of yourself for the sake of a relationship, Nobody Wants This is a refreshing change of pace.”

Nobody Wants This is available on Netflix.
