Counter-Strike Player Can’t Understand Why Valorant Players Keep Surrendering

The surrender feature is present in both Counter-Strike and Valorant, but fans of the Riot shooter might be using it for no reason.

In the world of FPS titles, Counter-Strike and Valorant are two of the most prominent names. Both of them have revolutionized not only the casual gameplay sector but also the e-sports scenarios as well. Despite being released many years ago, both of the games hold some heavy ground on their own.

Both titles have the same gameplay mechanics with similar kinds of movement and arsenal. However, there is one aspect of the Riot Games title that hasn’t made any sense to CS players. This particular feature is available in both games, but Valorant fans might be exploiting it.

CS Players Don’t Have A Clue About Valorant Players’ Baseless Surrendering

Recently, a fan shared his experience of playing Valorant after grinding for two months in Counter-Strike. After they started playing, every match they were into seemed to be ending in a surrender. Surrender is a good option if you trigger it amidst unfavorable circumstances, but this fan had to leave the match because of it when it wasn’t actually needed.

For example, they were trailing to a team by just 3-4, but out of nowhere, their team decided to surrender. The team was just 1 round behind, and it was just the eighth round of the match when they decided to give up. That shows the negative-minded mentality of many players in this game. Hence he couldn’t help but ask why players in this game surrender so much.

The surrender option is also available in CS2 as well. But despite spending just a few weeks on Valorant and two months on CS2, the fan saw more surrenders in the Riot shooter. Also, there are situations where people want to surrender in hostile situations but can’t trigger it because of an inadequate number of votes.

This is an option in the game that lets you end the game without actually being defeated. Once the majority of all the players on your team cast the vote in favor of surrender, the match will end at that point. It’s basically done when a team is overpowering their opponents too much or another team is outnumbered in players because of players leaving matches baselessly out of nowhere.

So, amidst these situations, surrender is the best option, as it not only saves you from a huge RR deduction but also saves you from the mental trauma that would have been infused in you at the actual end of the match. Yes, RR gets deducted in surrender as well, but that’s quite less than being badly defeated in a ranked match.

The surrender option is featured in the game for certain purposes. Now if it has been used unnecessarily, then it absolutely kills the competitiveness and vibe of the gameplay. And these two things are the main ingredients of Valorant‘s huge success.

What’s your opinion on these baseless surrendering in Valorant? Let us know your views in the comment section.
