Joe Locke As Billy Maximoff Dressed Like Maleficent In Agatha All Along Episode 7If you thought Agatha All Along was done with character deaths, this week’s episode should dispell any remaining notion that the witches of Agatha Harkness’s coven are safe while they walk the Witches’ Road. In fact, it seems Rio Vidal’s comment from the Marvel show’s marketing that “the bodies are really piling up” is becoming more and more prescient with each passing episode. But this week truly takes it to another level.

In addition to the reveal of Rio’s true identity, Agatha All Along episode 7’s ending sees one particular coven member accept their fate, and decide to use the Witches’ Road trials against a villainous force in the series. Previous episodes saw the deaths of Mrs. Hart/Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp) and Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn), so the show is no stranger to death. However, with the finale looming, Agatha All Along’s latest episode exponentially increases the death toll.

In the climactic moments of Agatha All Along episode 7, Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone) makes the decision to accept her fate to meet death and, knowing this, she decides to take down the Salem Seven along with her. The Salem Seven have been pursuing Agatha’s coven since episode 2, following them onto the Road. Lilia uses The Tower Reversed tarot card to flip the trial’s own tower upside down, impaling the Salem Seven on the swords that had hung above the coven, with Lilia eventually falling to her own death as well.

The fact that Lilia is able to bring them down with one fell swoop of clever witchery proves that she was a powerful witch until the end.

This makes the death toll of Agatha All Along episode 7 a whopping eight characters. While the Salem Seven have largely been treated as a single entity, they are still seven different characters, and have proved to be terrifying villains nipping at the heels of Agatha and her coven. The fact that Lilia is able to bring them down with one fell swoop of clever witchery proves that she was a powerful witch until the end.

Only Three Members Of Agatha’s Coven Remain

Kathryn Hahn As Agatha Harkness Dressed As The Wicked Witch In Agatha All Along Episode 7

When Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) began her journey on the Witches’ Road, she was surrounded by a coven of four other witches and the then-unknown Teen, who’s now known to be Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke). With only two episodes of Agatha All Along left, there are only three surviving members of the coven: Agatha, Billy and Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata). Further, Aubrey Plaza’s Lady Death still remains, and after Lilia revealed Rio’s true identity to Billy and Jen in episode 7, they’re aware they’ve been walking the Road with Death.

Considering how many bodies have piled up so far in Agatha All Along, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that more may join the others. Jennifer Kale is perhaps the most likely to die in episodes 8 and 9, due to the process of elimination. Billy seems destined for a future in the MCU as a member of the Young Avengers, Agatha is the titular character, and Death is, well… Death. Of course, Agatha All Along can still throw us a curveball, perhaps having Agatha die to save her remaining coven members, or bringing back those that have fallen.

We’ll find out next week, on Wednesday, October 30, when the two-episode Agatha All Along finale releases at 9pm ET on Disney+. For now, it seems Lilia Calderu and the Salem Seven are well and truly dead. Whether that continues to be true remains to be seen.
