Marvel officially announces Hulk solo series we've been waiting for

Marvel has announced a new Hulk solo series and by the looks of things, we’re all doomed!

Understandably, Red Hulk isn’t as popular as his green counterpart, Bruce Banner. But that doesn’t mean that Red Hulk aka Thaddeus Ross isn’t a worthy Marvel character, because he most certainly is.

Red Hulk is making his long-awaited debut in the MCU with the upcoming movie, Captain America: Brave New World and is played by the endlessly charismatic, Harrison Ford.

The first incarnation of Red Hulk appeared in the 2008 comic book series Hulk #1 and would later go on to play a pivotal role in the iconic Marvel story, World War Hulks in 2010. Since then, he’s appeared in other comic tales as well as some animated TV series.

Now, hoping to capitalise on the hype of Captain America: Brave New World, the new comic book series One World Under Doom: Red Hulk has been announced by Marvel Comics.

Written by Benjamin Percy, with artwork created by Geoff Shaw, “Red Hulk kicks off when Doctor Doom imprisons Ross in Latveria in order to exploit his military expertise,” reads the synopsis of issue one.”

“Ross’ only hope of escape is unleashing Red Hulk’s strength like never before and leading an assault on Doom’s Kingdom from the inside! For a taste of what’s in store, check out a special prelude story by Percy and Shaw later this month in Incredible Hulk #19, the milestone 800th issue of Hulk.”

One World Under Doom: Red Hulk will also be available with three additional variant covers created by Adam Kubert, Todd Nauck and John Romita Jr.

One World Under Doom: Red Hulk #1 will be available on 26 February 2025 wherever you like to pick up your comic books physically or digitally. As for Captain America: Barve New World, it arrives in cinemas on 14 February 2025.
