On Sunday (August 18), Hailey Bieber announced a “surprise” in a mysterious message on her Instagram Stories that had fans wondering whether she and Justin Bieber might have welcomed their first child together. That same night, Justin was spotted at dinner in Hollywood without his wife.

To promote her skincare brand, Rhode Skin, Hailey’s company has recently been sending the Rhode Booth—a photo booth that dispenses Rhode products—around the world with stops in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Ibiza. Posting an image of the booth on her Instagram Story, Hailey wrote, “We have a surprise,” adding an eyeball and pink bow emoji. Fans responded as though Hailey had announced the birth of her child—though it seems just as possible the “surprise” has something to do with Rhode.

The celebs didn’t announce the pregnancy until May, when they shared photos and videos from their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, for which Hailey wore a white dress that showed off her baby bump. In a recent interview with W, the model explained, “I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which is when I announced it.”

Aside from her posts about Rhode, Hailey has been quiet recently on Instagram. Given she was six months pregnant when she announced the exciting news in May, her due date should fall in August. And, again, on Sunday night, Justin was seen without his wife in Hollywood leaving Beverly Hills restaurant Funke with a pizza box in hand.

If the Biebers have indeed welcomed a baby, they seem committed to sharing the news on their own timeline. As Hailey told W, “I probably could have hid [the pregnancy] until the end. But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
