Erika Ishii’s personal decisions are generating negative reviews for Ghost of Yōtei since people fail to separate personal from professional.
Ghost of Yōtei protagonist is being criticized for their personal life decisions, which seem to be getting out of hand. Judging an actor by not their performance but their personal life is not a fair metric to criticize their work. The work of any individual exists out of their personal lives, and people’s should respect their personal boundaries.

It is not fair to hate on the game based on your disagreement with the actor’s personal belief’s. The actor portrays a character that you see and relate to. At that moment in time, they are not themselves. It is absolutely alright to disagree with them, but it should not affect the opinion you have of their work.
Erika Ishii Gets Unnecessary Hate For Her Actions

Erika Ishii has been a big advocate of the LGBTQ community. They are a progressive person who openly bash the police and tell women who do not accept LGBTQ to log off. These actions have generated a lot of hate against the actor by some fans, claiming her actions to be extreme.
However, she is just expressing her concern for the community and is helping to build an inclusive community where people of all genders are treated equally. Secondly, their work is independent of their personal life, and they should not be judged by what they do in their personal time.
Apparently, in Ghost of Yotei, a progressive activist known for hating the police and telling straight women who disagree with LGBT to log off is not just the VA for the game; she is also the face and mocap of the new Sucker Punch title. It’s an asset

The hate that Ghost of Yōtei is getting is absolutely baseless and unnecessary since Ishii’s actions have nothing to do with the game. The game exists independently of their personal life, and that boundary should be respected.
The next game features a female protagonist, which some loudmouths are also against, and it might be the same people having problems with what the actor does in their personal time.
Ghost of Yōtei Exists Independent From Ishii’s Personal Life

The game and Ishii’s personal life are in no way intertwined; they belong independently of each other. This distinction is necessary for people hating on the game to understand. They can choose whatever they want to do in their personal time, and yet their acting skills could outshine the game.
It is okay to disagree with someone based on your beliefs, but judging their work based on the same might be problematic. Ghost of Yōtei reveal trailer was just released, and the game looks absolutely stunning. It feels like Sucker Punch has outdone itself with the next game.
The game will be coming to PlayStation sometime in 2025; the final date is yet to be announced. Whatever has been revealed as of now looks stunning, and people can’t wait to get their hands on the game. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
